What do you collect?
Hi! I'm new to this site and am a 52 year old Mouseketeer! Just looking to share experiences with Disney collectors. I myself collect 40s and 50s Disney. My proudest collection is my Symphony Hour from 1994 limited edition and retired. Sylvestor Maccaronis is #383 from 12,500 made.
I'm not too sure how this message board works but would love to share collecting experiences.

Hey.. I love all the Silly Symphony stuff... I love everything to do with WDW. I collect Disney Globes. I have about 18 of them.

Hi, This is the place to find collectors. I myself am an avid collector of too much.
I collect snowglobes. Disglobegirl you have a way to go to catch up, I have over 100 Disney snowglobes. My main collection is Mickey and the parks globes but I also have alot of the character globes from years ago when Disney owned the Disney store. I don't buy them at the new Disney store because they just don't catch my eye anymore. But I don't leave WDW without a globe of some kind.
I collect Pins. I tried for every pin that came out from 2000 to 2004 but I had to stop. I am hoping to whittle down my collection on ebay to Mickey and pals, Patriotic and Figment. I just am too confused with ebay to start.
I also collect antenna toppers. I only have the Mickey type, not the other characters. I have 42 right now.
I have various other things Mickey, like the 25th Anniversary plates, the entire Mickey flag collection from Hamilton House, statues, etc...
I also have a 56 inch wreath that I hang up every year and it is covered in Mickey ornaments. I have Mickey lights on it and only hang my Mickey ornaments, the other character ornaments go on the trees or the mantle.
I collect Santa Clauses. I have over 1000 Santa Clause figures and ornaments. I am not sure if I am going to put them up this year because I am demolishing the living room right now and I can't fit them in the dining room.
Linda, we may be 52, but I personally refuse to grow up. I like being a child at heart. Peggie

Wow Mickey527!!! I wish I had alot more globes but its just having the money... I print pictures of the globes I want and post them on our refrigerator. Knowing I will never get them. LOL Tacky huh?

Don't give up on those globes. There is a lot of opportunities to find them ie. Swap meets, EBay or antique stores. We search every weekend for my treasures. You would be surprised that it's not always expensive - Searching for a deal is fun and satisfying when you score that "special" globe. I saw a picture at an antique store 7 years ago and passed it up. When I went back for it a week later it was gone! I have one but this was it's mate. I've been searching for it 7 years - I'm not giving up
