I'm sure you other Disney freaks out there who have Comcast were as jealous as I when you read the past threads about the various Disney Travel programming available with certain cable companies, but not Comcast. Well, be jealous no more my friends. I just noticed this week that Comcast On Demand has these shows now available. Different ones from Everest to AKL to cooking with Cat Cora to all kinds. About 9 different catgegories with a few shows in each category. How awesome is that??!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, now that I've pulled up my Comcast on Demand menu, which category are they under?! :happytv:

Off the top of my head, I think maybe SearchLight or something like that? But if that's wrong, let me know & I'll check.

I have no idea. I didn't see a SearchLight topic on my on-demand menu.
I have the movies on demand, free movies on demand, events on demand, etc. etc. etc.
I guess I'll just keep searching.

On the main page, there is Searchlight {you may have to page down to the second page. I'm not sure if everyone's Comcast On Demand is the same.} Then within there you go to Travel & Leisure. Then in there is the magical Disney Travel. Let me know how it goes.

Nope, don't have Searchlight on my list, our On-Demand must be different. But, I did find a movie I've been wanting to see, lol, so once it's over, maybe I'll go in and have another poke around for it. The only travel I saw was in CAble favorites and it only had a show about Italy and Samantha Brown. :confused3 :headache:

Thank you so very much EpcotMatt2!!!!
I looked and I have it! I can't wait to check it out!

FYI I went to the On Demand channel (199 for me) then to searchlight then to travel and leisure, there I saw the Disney option and then so many choices from there!

Cant Wait, Cant Wait! :cool1:

Thanks again.

You are soooo lucky to have Comcast. I have Suddenlink here & i'm waiting for the Disney Travel channel to come to my cable company. Does anyone know if there are plans to bring it to Suddenlink? TIA!

I don't have just a Comcast On Deman channel. When I pull up my list I have:
Program Guide
DVR
Movies on Demand
Events on Demand
Free Movies
Kids & Teens
Sports & Fitness
Cable Favorites
Music on demand
Cutting Edge
Starz on Demand
Showtime on Demand
TMC on Demand
HBO on Demand
Howard Stern on Demand Adult on Demand

That's all I pull up on mine. When I go to the program guide while on one of the on demand channels, there's no on demand station.
Also, my on demand channels are in the 900s.
I'm confused, lol. :upsidedow

are you talking about the 3-9 minute videos on demand, or have they added some full length things? Those short videos (at least for us) have been available for quite some time, but are still awesome to check out when you need a disney fix. Esp the fact or fictions about the utilidors at MK and the basketball court in the Matterhorn.

I do have the On Demand button on my remote, but when I push that, it tries to take me to channel 199, which I do not have. Ah well, maybe I'm not supposed to be able to watch. :scared1:

I agree, I was bummed to see they are just short clips. I saw an ad for them during the last Season of Disney show on the travel channel, and checked them out and was disapointed. But, after watching some of them, I do want to get AKV DVC.

Thanks for telling us about this, Matt ! :woohoo:

I would have never found it, otherwise. (strange that Comcast doesn't even mention, let alone promote any of this stuff :confused3 )

I especially enjoyed the doc. on Jiko.

Still have lots more to see...

Thanks again !

Cablevision has it too! I was so excited the night I discovered it. Now I check back often to see if they have any new clips. I agree that the clips are too short, but its fun to watch the fact or fiction ones and the behind the scenes on the making of Pirates and Princess...

Hey everyone first post! :)

I'm a customer service rep for comcast and I'm thrilled we now have on demand programing for disney!!!

How it works is everyone who has digital channels (that is, more then basic Analog channels) has on demand. But we have several differnt remote and cable box models on the market so that's why searching for disney on demand is a little different for some of you. The best way to search for it if your having trouble finding the programing is to go into the on demand menu then "search" on demand for disney or "disney world"

If your still not finding it, call customer service and they will be happy to sort it out really quickly for you.

If you have any more questions I'd be happy to help! :)

My Comcast reps, when I call, seem to be idiots. They know nothing about how to help me find this. :worried:
I can't find an on demand menu is my problem. When I press the On Demand button on my remote, it tries to take me to channel 199, but I don't have a 199....it takes me to 200. I'm confused....as if I wasn't already not happy with my cable service. :faint:

But anyway... :welcome: to the DIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
