OMG, I'm loving this STAR section for Europe. I can't wait for February 23. I'm fine with the €2 price increase, I kinda expected that anyway.

I'd rather they just charge an extra $7 or so a month for premiere access on Disney + if you want it. Easier to swallow than $30 each time.

I hope Disney does this yearly. I love this. It’s like an apple keynote which I also love.

Makes them a lot of personable. They way this is presented, I have a feeling we might get an announcement of a DC Fandome like event for the MCU in this format

I'd rather they just charge an extra $5 or so a month for premiere access on Disney + if you want it. Easier to swallow than $30 each time
That wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense. This is to help counteract that loss of theatrical. This is also like they noted something they are doing because of the current situation not something they necessarily are looking at long term.

I would prefer that too - this paying a fee to watch one specific thing is still new to me

Granted I grew up without cable so paying for TV at all is still kinda new to me

Okay.

And I’ve had a tv in my room with cable since I was probably 5...

Also, I'm speaking as a consumer, not an executive for Disney +.

First, not sure I believe this won't be a permanent thing for some of their "lesser" movies. I think they are saying its not permanent now to calm some nerves

Second, I have to believe they would make more money in the long run - especially if only doing this for a few select movies- charging an extra monthly premiere access fee for those who want it.
Quite possibly we could end up paying more through add on charge than paying a movie at a time if they don't release all movies to Disney +.

HBOMax is also $15 a month

Ok, so raise Disney Plus to $15/month and stop this premier access nonsense.

You have to remember, that HBO by itself already cost $15/month (through HBO Now and some other means) -- and PLENTY of people were paying that. HBO has valuable content.

HBO Max is all of HBO PLUS everything else -- all for the same price of $15/month. It's a steal, especially if you were gonna be paying for HBO anyway. And now we're also getting brand new movies the same time they hit theaters? For no extra cost? Woah.

Is the Disney Plus library worth $15/month? Perhaps it is at this point. Definitely would be worth that much if they would release brand new theatrical movies to it for no extra fee :) $30 per movie is absurd.

They would be better off raising the price in general and calling it a Disney+ original. I don’t see them making a feature film all the time for Disney+ and not theaters. If that’s the case kiss the major big blockbuster goodbye.
