That sure works for me! I would rather not be a Geniepig. We had that pleasure when MBs rolled out and it was a cluster! :headache:
Not me. I would much rather deal with glitches and have some semblance of FP back for the craziness when we are there next week. I don't know why Disney has such a hard time getting their s*!t together when it comes to IT. There are plenty of much smaller companies than Disney with better IT, and now with the success of D+, they have no excuse.

I was just thinking about the dining plan and maybe free dining next year, has anyone heard anything?
Would love for them to bring back the DDP!
Free dining was never free anyway, since it was just instead of a percent off of rooms or other promos.
If you stayed value, while not 'free' it was always a bigger savings than any room discount.
I love the dining plan and also agree that it was never really free. It did save some money though whenever I did the math, just not free.
Yes, while not free, a bigger savings for us as a family of 2 staying in a value resort. I could never feed us for the 10% or 15% I might save with a room discount. For us 'free' dining was a better deal - and we booked a Free Dining BounceBack 10 years in a row!

It was becoming less and less of a deal though with all the restrictions and such. It really just comes down to how many and how they eat and such.

I think it depends on who's in your party. A large family, the food discount would be a more substantive savings.

I agree. Our family of 4 always did the Deluxe plan, so we paid the difference between the two plans, always saw a savings vs a room discount with the deluxe plan.
