Im thinking the revenge travel bubble is starting to burst. For right now at least. The last stimulus was in April. Plenty of states have stopped or will be stopping very soon. Kids are going back to school. States are pretty much all open so people have other places to spend money.

I think the revenge travel is def over. I think the next year or more is going to be interesting. Everything is costing more but most arent making more. Kids can’t miss school for vacation like they use to. It may be lower overall till international can start coming again.

I can only speak for semi-locals but literally every family I know here with an annual pass is dealing with quarantine right now. Us included. So, while we typically hit the parks most weekends, we're all stuck at home. It's staggering how many people are out of work/school right now.

We hope to be clear by next weekend and can go.

Probably doesn't account for much traffic in the parks but might be contributing to lower numbers on the weekends :confused3

I have been in late august twice. Crowds were never that low. The northeast doesn’t start school until after Labor Day.

Imagine paying for genie+ for your length of trip ahead of time and having crowds like that. :scared1:

We are in the Northeast and mychildren are college age now, but my nephews are starting school before Labor Day for the first time ever.

We are in Virginia and a few years ago our schools moved to August starts and got around the "Kings Dominion law" (a theme park in VA) that said VA schools start after Labor Day unless they got a waiver. I get the feeling we will be moved to mid August someday since that option keeps popping up in proposed calendars.

I know in NY a few schools experimented with opening earlier too. Seems to be a trend!

We arrived at magic kingdom last Saturday and attributed low crowds to the anticipated storm. This morning, our travel home day, crowds were INCREDIBLY low at MK until 10:30am. Crowds throughout the week ebbed and flowed.

Were you able to get one of the 50th MagicBands?

I was just able to get a price adjustment for stay at CBR for our Remy preview trip. When I originally booked it, I had to pay rack rates, but today the summer discount was available. I guess people might be cancelling trips??? Hoping the crowds stay low for this short trip.

Has Pluto been announced as one of the Fab 50 Golden statues? I will be sooooo disappointed if he is not included, and there aren't many left.😟

ETA: I think I counted 34, so there is still time. (He is a favorite at our house!)

Wow! Is this quarantining due to exposure at school? We just started back this past week in Austin, TX. I am hoping this is not what we have to look forward to. However, I am not working now, and my husband has been working from home for the last year and a half. So, it's doable. I guess we need to be prepared for this :( Good luck

Some of the families are positive (we are) while others are forced to quarantine due to close exposure at school. At my work, we have a day care, elementary school, middle school, and high school that meet in our building. Day care closed on Friday for center wide exposure (10 day closure) and the elementary school also closed completely 2 days prior. Day care is open year-round, of course, but the elementary school had only been in school a week. Figure it's just a matter of time before the middle and high school is closed.

For us, our child care provider was positive and now my 1 year old has it (we unknowingly spent last weekend at Disney on a staycation). We are both vaccinated but my DH is now symptomatic (mild). I'm currently overanalyzing every ache and pain I have... our day care provider is very, very sick so even once she can technically reopen, she won't be well enough to.

We are both working from home and juggling child care. So stressful.
