Universal was such a mess- definitely soured the experience for me. We did our day there first and when we got to Disney I felt like a sad child running into my moms arms. 😂 "Hold me Disney, it was so scary there!"
Hahahaha! Yes. Even our 10 year old who loves Harry Potter and any thrilling roller coaster noticed the difference when we got to Disney. She said “ahhh, now we can relax!”

I would like to fantasize about the biggest WDW rumor i can - with Disney increasing number of rooms with new DVC buildings, having higher ticket prices, demand outstripping supply, etc - what are the chances we could see am announcement for a 5th park in the foreseeable future?

I know it is a crazy cost, but I think it could be a financial winner for Disney. They could significantly increase ticket prices, but the reality is that people can't be in two places at once. People are willing to pay more for the perceived value of extra stuff, even though guests will still spend the same average amount of time in the parks each day. So, they could increase overall attendance at a higher price per guest.

That would be really exciting, but does seem at odds with what the bigwigs have been saying all this time

Unless the fp system and Reservation system can't work side by side? With the increasing queues something is going to give so the FP needs to come back?

Take this for what it is… but a CM in Guest Services at AK yesterday told us they were hoping to be done with Park Reservations by July 4th… if not by that date, definitely before Oct. 1.

That would be news to Bob C, I think. And Josh D’Amaro seemed to indicate park reservations are sticking around in the LA Times article from last week, though that article was primarily focused on DL.

Does anyone have rumors of AP Sales returning soon? Just curious, I seem like the only one that has thought of July 5th/6th as the start date of selling again.

It could be the parks are realizing the PR system is more headache than it’s worth. We’ll see but wouldn’t surprise me to see it removed. 2 issues worsened as capacity increased. Guest experience suffered with trying to plan and the lost potential sales when people couldn’t get the parks/days they wanted and didn’t realize it would keep turning green again and again. It went from necessary useful tool to a burden for us and them I think.

We didn’t get this 😩 We booked in December or January I think for January 2022. Does it come closer to the trip date?
I haven't been lately, but back in the days when resort guests got free magicbands, the decorative luggage tags came in the box with the magicbands. I believe those were generally mailed about 30 days before your arrival date, which perhaps not coincidentally is the deadline to fully pay for your package. They definitely were not sent as soon as you made your reservation if you booked months ahead of time.

All I've heard and it's just from reading where anyone can read, is that if they can get out of state guests to come in the kind of numbers they want, they're in no hurry to restart the AP program. While I am one, the number of out of state AP holders has to have been a fairly small number. Their out of state guests are the ones who spend the big money on tickets, in the parks and at the resorts and are their most profitable guests. I know that irks local AP's, but it's just a fact that Disney has openly acknowledged.

That said, if they want out of state guests- bring back FP! Bring back that cursed Dining Plan and bring back shows. People who spend many thousands of dollars on their trips and who can't just go any time they feel like want a full experience and it's not there yet.

As for park reservations- I think they're here to stay for a good long time. Once they're back at full capacity, the difficulty in getting a park you want will be gone for the most part. It does tie guests down, but since when has that affected a decision Disney has made in the past?
