I have a universal reservation and Disney reservation for October. I will go with whoever has the least covid restrictions come October. The other will get cancelled.

I’m thinking some of the wait has to do with union talks.
🙄 you think they would have learned their lesson playing hard ball with has happened to the actors. Maybe it’s just a formality.

This was news to me - each resort pool has a six mile radius of “electrical activity.” If lightening happens within that, it shuts the pool down.
So it’s why some resort pools are open and others stay closed. The Poly pools stayed opened about 30 minutes longer than the contemporary yesterday.

A lifeguard explained that to us a few years ago, it was interesting.

Thanks for sharing! Cool to know how/why they make the decision :)

I'm not really sure where to put this, but today I talked to Anne from guest services about an email I had sent a few weeks ago about my concerns with limited housekeeping. She said that right now there are no plans to bring housekeeping back to what it was pre-covid. Sheets will not be changed during my stay, but I can call housekeeping to have towels replaced and the trash emptied. We only travel in August, so maybe things will change before then, but as of right now, housekeeping will be limited. I'm a little disappointed about this, but it is what it is.

Me too! I personally hate buffets. I’m pretty clumsy and those terrifying moments of carrying my own plate of food across an entire restaurant while dodging little kids and adults who aren’t paying attention is more thrilling to me than any thrill ride could ever be.
This was me last year but at a signature (Yachtsman). I felt so uncomfortable thinking about the potential crashes and spills of me and my kids (lol - in their defense they were great).

I doubt I will ever go to a signature again. I'm definitely a T-Rex/Rainforest/anyloudrestaurantthathidesmyclumsy person :rotfl:

Sci-Fi is nice and dark!! 😜

We came back from a stay at BCV yesterday and it was amazing! Thanks for opening this new thread Mrsap!

Dinner at Cape May was great! They brought salad and bread first, then the main courses. All of it was delicious and they would bring you more of whatever you wanted. We were especially impressed with the shrimp, beef, and chicken. Even my picky eater 5-year-old grandson tried everything and liked it.

So happy you found us!! Happy you had a great trip!!! 🥰

Hi Everyone. We are in the MK today. Hot, humid and crowded. E Ticket attractions have all had 45+ minute waits. Splash and Mine Train have been consistently at an hour wait. Still see markers on the ground for social distancing but no one is following them. Some wait times are shorter than what’s posted. Still see lots of plexiglass dividers in queues.

This is part of the problem with how many people went during COVID. Disney learned what we were willing to forgo to simply be "in the magic." People came.

The question is, once restrictions are lifted, are people still going to accept a "lesser" experience?

I'm watching things closely for my December trip.
