I really don't like that Lightning Lanes (LL) verbiage are used for both G+ and Individual Rides add-on ($LL/LL$/FP-/etc). It's adding confusion to an already convoluted topic.

"LL only" is a prime example of how this will cause further confusion as to whether it refers to G+ rides or the Premium LL rides. To answer the previous question: Premium LL rides will also have their standby equivalent. Whether that is VQ (RotR, Remy, or Web Slingers) or the regular stand-by line.

For those with EMH, as long as the ride is open, I think it makes perfect sense. Rope Drop is probably more important now to minimize G+ needs. We've seen a few times where people run to BTMRR or Splash Mountain first-thing; only for them not to be open and then work their way back to 7DMTR 10 minutes into EMH and end up with a 30 minute stand-by wait.

Yeah, they defintiely made it confusing! Lightning Lane should be the name for the entrance only. How you acquire that access should have distinct names.

I hate to say for us that’s not too bad. DS (3) doesn’t ride many of the LL only rides & not having any FP for the others has been hard. And the old system was way too scheduled for us for him. And the tiered system was just annoying. So, IF, fastpasses are regularly available, then it will be a good change for us.

Don't be surprised if they throw the Remy virtual queue at that time to really mess with you/us.
This could be a wrong assumption, but I would think that you would need an Epcot reservation to try for a Remy BG, like you need a HS reservation for ROTR. So, you wouldn't be able to get them both on the same day anyway, so it wouldn't matter if the time was the same.

I agree. It's a good change for me too.

What about with Park Hopper Tickets? Maybe?

Yes. You think they would stop you from paying for something without a park pass?
