Why does Disney think that I want to wake up prior to 7AM on vacation? I don't want to do it for Rise and I don't want to do it for this either.

Annoying.

Agreed. This part is not something I’m not excited about at all. At least allow us to fullfil our whole length of stay at 7am on the first day, so we can actually enjoy our vacation (this is coming from the only person in my group who will have to do this since I do all the planning lol)

I am not sure how I feel about this all, I hope there is an annual pass option like DL use to have to add it to your pass for the whole year. We used max pass once and we actually loved it, the only difference was paper fast passes were still free. While I am one that didn't like Fastpass + I am not sure this is exactly what I want, I guess it will depend on how it all plays out.

I wonder if AP still the $15/day for Genie +/Maxpass thing...or if there is any benefit there?

Individual attractions at the start of the service:

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Rise of the Resistance (WDW and DL)
Remys Ratatouille Adventure

Radiator Springs Racers
Web Slingers

ETA: This is only current list of known attractions on the individual attractions list (according to Disney Food Blog), apologies for the confusion

Everything else is a part of Genie+
Does this mean that, in essence, Rise of the Resistance will be an additional cost to ride or are the virtual queues remaining at 7am?

If so I will never ride it again. It went down FOUR TIMES while I tried to ride it on my trip last week.

So does this mean that these rides are NOT part of Genie+? So if I purchase Genie+ I would still need to pay extra to get lightning lane for these above mentioned rides? TIA!

Lightning Lane selections will be made on the same day of your visit and can be used across multiple theme parks, great for those who love the Park Hopper option. Attractions continue to offer a traditional standby queue, or a virtual queue at certain attractions like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – to maximize flexibility.

-This is from the parks blog post, I’m still trying to process everything so I can respond appropriately

I'm sure it will feel more simple once I get used to it....though really not having happy vibes about paying for what was once free (at least it's not per attraction), but still...

They said VQs would remain.

Where is this specific info coming from?

That's a reasonable list I guess. No FOP? That's good.

How many do you get a day for the $15?

It's like the old paper system - as many as you can make work, but only one at a time. Once you use one you can make another. If you make it further out though it will limit how many you can get. There may be a timing aspect to that to let you hold more than one like MaxPass did, but that's unknown at this time (and probably not since it would be nice to have).
