Face Masks No Longer Required for Select Cast Members at Walt Disney World

So glad to hear this! One, it will feel so much more “normal” to see more people’s faces. Two, I felt so bad that they were being required to wear them outdoors. It’s just so miserable in the heat!

We had the free tickets promotion so in reality we are still buying one less ticket than we were on the promotion. Going to rope drop MK hit lunch then rest at the pool til late evening.

So glad to hear this! One, it will feel so much more “normal” to see more people’s faces. Two, I felt so bad that they were being required to wear them outdoors. It’s just so miserable in the heat!

Also, I’m so tired of not being able to hear or understand them. It’s one thing under normal circumstances to hear what someone wearing a mask is saying, but it’s too loud in the parks for all that.

One year we changed 5 day hopper plan for a 4 day minus hopper plus MNSSHP for around same cost. Worked out great doing 1 day each park and the party. And lovely to have that relaxing morning mid trip.

This year’s plan is only for the crazy. 6 Day Hoppers + Boo Bash and... we have no room our last night Fri Sept 17th. Going hard for the finale! Boo Party at MK until after midnight, take a nap in our rental car, drop it off at MCO to make our 7am flight home. This will be our second time doing this. We’ll sleep when we’re dead Last time we stayed at MK EMH until almost 2am in 2016 and had a 6am flight.

I have always "gotten by" on 4 hours of sleep a night since college days almost 40 years ago! I could do your plan, but wouldn't right now because they are not serving beer on the flights. Mrs. Tigger can go to sleep standing up in a crowd. She would be my DD when the plane lands but I would need a beer every hour or so.

We saw a lifeguard doing training during our trip last month at Kidani and she had to repeatedly jump in and swim around while wearing her mask. We felt so bad for her, a heavy, soggy mask can not be fun!

I'm very glad to see this change. I think that it is a step back towards normalcy and a great indication of things to come!
