Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2024 Edition

Yikes! So many negative reactions to the ride in the comments, and I agree with them actually.

I’m not riding this until it becomes an original non-PATF ride and has a new story involving a rabbit or some other animal's troubles, similar to what Br'er Rabbit went through. Same thing goes with the upcoming Disneyland version. The ride should still be set in the bayou, but just have the Princess and the Frog IP stripped away from it.

I mean, it's too late for Disney to bring back Splash Mountain. They can't restore that ride to its former glory, but they can make something better out of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Ain't too late to do that.
Lol, guess you aren't ever going to ride it again. I am willing to give anything a try and I guess I'm just a sucker because I even enjoy iasw. Oh well if people are that upset it just means the ride line will be shorter. They won't be changing this for a very long time considering it isn't even officially open yet.

I don't want to watch the video until I ride it. That said, I have said from the beginning that they should have Dr. Facillier if only because Keith David is awesome and has an amazing voice! Any excuse to hear his slick and debonnaire voice is always good with me.

Gonna be real with you for a second but Disney isn't going to do that lol

With that said, I am very surprised at the reaction to the POV. The like to dislike ratio is almost evenly split on Disney's upload on YouTube. Comments are almost all negative. I expected it to be the other way around.

Mother always said: stay away from the comments section 😂

ETA: I mean, because the Internet inflates negativity and doesn't reflect general opinions well since the average person/most people don't bother to leave comments, or even watch things like ride POVs

We'll see if Disney releases more concrete information, but I believe last year, the Dessert Party went on sale online shortly before 6am. It's a little different this year, though, since I don't think they previously opened it up to resort guests first.

If it launches online, all party dates should be available, but individuals would only see party dates for which they already have a resort reservation (they would also need a MNSSHP ticket).
Thank you. I'm hoping it is online. I won't be home that day and won't be able to do a phone call with a long hold time. I have both a resort reservation and party tickets for September. Hoping it works out because we really want the seated dessert party as part of our MNSSHP night!

Love how so many are judging it despite not actually trying it.

Sometimes you can judge a book by its cover, especially if the book is one you’ve read many times and the only thing that’s changed is the cover. I don’t care either way, this wasn’t a top ride for me before when it was SM and won’t be now as TBA, but I understand what they’re saying.

People are always going to be more negative in the comments section. Negativity rules the day on any comments section. I doubt most who commented even watched the video. If you want to automatically hate something and have others hate it with you, there's a comments section in most videos, stories, or articles to allow you to do exactly that. Personally, I'd like to ride the thing first before writing it off as the greatest crime Disney has ever committed.

I mean, I still expect to like it - the animatronics look amazing. It's just Dr. F is one of my favorite villains so, you know. I love seeing him in the MNSSHP show!

I also like Frozen Ever After, so my opinion may not be worth much anyway. 😁
I'll accept the L for this take but honestly Frozen looks worse than Tiana. At least Tiana isn't 70% black walls.

FEA is cute but the animatronics have aged so badly that it’s actively distracting to me. I always joke Anna and Elsa look like they don’t blend their foundation back to their hairline. I think I would be much less meh on it if we got the HK upgrades.
Will keep posting this until my agent gets in touch with Universal so these can be added to Halloween Horror Nights.

Won't even be a one and done for me. pirate: I always want to remember my favorite ride as it was. Still remember riding it 6 times without getting out of the boat all while the perimeter fireworks were going off.
