From sinister sweets like the Poison Apple Funnel Cake Fries at Award Wieners and Halloween Donut at GCH Craftsman Grill, to savory bites like the Spicy Chili Dog at Refreshment Corner, there’s something for every ghoul this year. Did I mention all the novelties coming your way? You’re going to want them all, especially the Minnie Mouse: Hocus Pocus Halloween Dress-up Sipper launching on Sept. 5! And the Halloween candy items are almost too cute to eat — emphasis on the almost.

Or, book an outing at Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace where you’ll find new items throughout the entire Halloween season like the Wicked Stepsisters Crispy Pork Bowl or Blood Orange Slush. Also, for the first time ever, experience the deliciously festive celebrations at Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel featuring Goofy and some of his pals dressed for the season. Be sure to book ahead of time for these thrilling (and yummy) experiences if you’re interested!

The poison apple mug in that iridescent color looks really cool!

Yeah I was just thinking that! What is the deal with that??!
Well, sadly, a lot of the tickets were purchased by bots/scalpers. They were all ending up on eBay, some going for $1000. Disney is cracking down on them, but still, it seems like a lot of people bought them just to sell them. I almost didn't get my ticket despite getting in with the MK (magic key) pre-sale. It took me all 3 windows and I barely got one. And I think Oogie Boogie Bash & MNSSHP both have their pros and cons. It's much more of a production over at MK, especially with the stage show & fireworks. We pretty much just get treat trails and characters. I liked it better when it was over at Disneyland.

I meant more why do they get more/better merch. And I didn’t think you could resell tickets?! I thought they banned ppl last year?

You can't, eBay took down all the sales that were reported and Disney is trying to crack down. But that didn't stop people from buying a bunch only to try to sell them immediately after for a huge markup. So, even if they can't sell them, it took a lot of tickets away from guests who actually want to go. But, unless Disney starts checking the ID associated with the ticket, I'm not sure how they can stop under the table resales.

Moana ‘Journey of Water’ Attraction Includes Dry Path to Avoid Getting Soaked at EPCOT

There will reportedly be a dry path and a wet path during the experience, allowing guests to stay dry, get a little wet, or even get soaked if they want to.

Other areas will ask guests to interact with water to get a little wet, but nothing that should require a change of clothes or a towel although we do hear that preview attendees are encouraged to bring both.

Tiana’s Palace At Disneyland Resort Opens September 7

IMG_1924.jpeg

Laissez les bon temps rouler! We’re pleased to announce that the official opening date of Tiana’s Palace restaurant in Disneyland park is September 7, 2023! This reimagined quick-service style restaurant is inspired by the one Princess Tiana created in the beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “The Princess and the Frog.”

The Tiana’s Palace restaurant opening will mark the next step in bringing more of Princess Tiana’s stories to life in New Orleans Square, which began with Eudora’s Chic Boutique featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets last year and will continue with the opening of the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction in 2024. We are so thrilled to expand upon Princess Tiana’s story, pay homage to the cuisine of the Crescent City, and welcome guests into Tiana’s Palace in just a few short weeks!

Artist Rendering of Tiana’s Palace Coming to Disneyland Park

There will be so many elegant yet subtle details throughout the restaurant that offer fun hints at Tiana’s rich past in New Orleans. Below the lit marquee that reads “Tiana’s Palace” hanging above a metallic gold balcony, is an emerald green wrought iron railing and awnings dyed in yellow and green, reminiscent of Tiana’s beautiful formal ball gown. You will be surrounded by the colors of Mardi Gras as you sit at yellow tabletops, on warm vanilla-colored chairs with green seats, in the shade of yellow and green umbrellas.

Disney Imagineers also took inspiration from the film for the interior of the restaurant, which includes a large mural of the bayou. You will also see other references to Tiana’s story – lilies represented on numerous signs, plaques and light fixtures, frog porcelains, cookbooks Tiana has collected on little shelves, and her father’s favorite gumbo spoon proudly on display. You’ll also want to keep an eye out for the letters from her father and neighbors on display, alongside a childhood photo of Tiana.

Did you know? The design of Tiana’s Palace from the Disney Animation film “The Princess and the Frog” was actually inspired by the French Market Restaurant – the former restaurant in this space – in New Orleans Square at Disneyland park. In the film, Disney Animation artists added a wheelhouse and two smokestacks to give Tiana’s restaurant an iconic silhouette, so when the time came to bring Tiana’s Palace to life at Disneyland, Disney Imagineers made those same additions to create the real Tiana’s Palace, making this a full circle moment!

We are so excited to welcome you soon to see this exciting transformation, as well as mark the return of the Mint Julep Bar! At Tiana’s Palace, you can enjoy new menu items that represent Tiana’s story and honor the flavors and flair of New Orleans, with an effort to source some ingredients directly from the state of Louisiana when possible.

View attachment 786210

Wow! That was fast. I guess all they had to do was put up the sign. Looking forward to the menu. I hadn’t thought we would be able to eat there on our next DLR trip.
