Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2023 Edition

To add the pricing has been added. These figures are $89.99

That's decent I suppose - not sure I will go for it at that price though. I may need to see them in person. Of course if it is popular, reservations may be difficult to get last minute.

I want to know more about the Discs and chips and the customization/interactivity functions. That stuff always intrigues me.

I think I’ll make a reservation during my April trip as soon as they’re available, and cancel it before the trip if the details don’t live up to what I’m hoping for, since there’s a week between Tron opening and my trip for people to post about all this.

DH and I watched this morning. There may have been tears.
Same here! I liked Enchantment (and will keep it on my Spotify playlist) but I LOVE HEA. Will see the former one last time and will see the latter when I return for a couple of days in May. Can't wait!
EPCOT Will Host Disney100 Celebrations Starting Later This Year

Later this year, Walt Disney World Resort will join the global celebration of The Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary – 10 decades of creativity and innovation. Look for more details to come, as EPCOT prepares to host this unforgettable celebration at Walt Disney World.
Interesting that they've chosen EPCOT. I guess since that poor park has been a construction zone for so long, it's nice that it'll get some extra love. Looking forward to seeing what the show will be. From the image, I'm thinking it may have some similarities with WoC.

I've never done a dessert party, is the view any good at MK? I saw a Youtuber that was disappointed with the view when Enchantment opened, and I assumed they'll use the same location.

This was my view from Treats & Seats in January 2020. I was fine with it, but I can understand why others wouldn’t be. This was back when the desserts were better, IMO (make your own sundae bar!) and I wouldn’t bother with it now.

Willow S2 Cancelled on D+

Not entirely surprised as the show probably failed to get attention among all the other streaming options ... but I did enjoy season 1 quite a bit

BOO! I thought it was great. I did worry about it though as it had like no buzz. It will join The Mysterious Benedict Society in the criminally underrated and cancelled too soon bucket.

Thanks! And I just looked up a video of the garden view, I didn't like so many light posts and other objects in the view. At least not for $300 for the three of us. I guess I'll just have to wait an hour plus beforehand to hold our spot as usual lol

I wonder if Communicore Hall will open for part 2 of Food and Wine (like they've been doing the last few years to make it last so long), or if the first festival to use that space will be Festival of the Holidays?

Happy to hear HEA dessert ADRs finallllly opening 😍 There’s quite the backlog.

Is it just me or did Disney in 2022 make it sound like WDW will begin celebrating the 100 this April?

A few more things from Disney's News Dump today:

Celebrating 25 Years of Innovation & Conservation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

We can’t wait to celebrate 25 years of magic at Disney’s Animal Kingdom next month on Earth Day! Since it opened on April 22, 1998, this one-of-a-kind theme park has offered awe-inspiring animal encounters, thrilling attractions and larger-than-life musical stage shows. Since 1995, with support from The Walt Disney Company and guests, the Disney Conservation Fund has directed $120 million to support nonprofit organizations working with communities to save wildlife, inspire action and protect the planet. Additionally, the Disney Conservation team leads best-in-class scientific programs to conserve wildlife in Disney’s backyard and beyond, connects people to build a network for nature, and cares for the planet through everyday actions.

In April, there will be new ways to join in the celebration for Earth Day and this milestone, including new sweet and savory treats, specialty merchandise and limited-time character sightings in the park. There will be more surprises on April 22, when the park officially turns 25. Stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog for more details coming soon.

I'm not asking YOU specifically but is it a big spring break week???

World and Land (out here by me) are PACKED. No one in California is on spring break though so I'm confused lol

Yup, this week is our spring break, and it always seems to be one of the busier SB weeks.
