Oh, this is good!

"All items must be placed either in a locker before you board your Lightcycle, or in a small compartment located on the attraction vehicle that can hold items such as cellphones, glasses or wallets."

It sounds like only large items like bags need to be secured. If my very tiny wallet is in a sealed pocket, I don't think that will be an issue. Glad you can keep your phone too.

Plus it's double sized! I knew they would come up with something good.

I’m just glad that it sounds like we won’t have to remove eyeglasses. We were riding Pony Express at Knotts for the first time. After getting on and buckled up, they asked my entire family to remove our eyeglasses. They said they needed to be in a pocket. There’s was no way mine would fit in a pocket without getting crushed and twisted up. I had to unbuckle, get off, and put my glasses in an open cubby. Had to use one that already had stuff in it, since they were all full. Then I had to walk back, get on, and get buckled up without really being able to see anything. My eyesight is pretty bad. Couldn’t see a darn thing in the ride. I had to get unbuckled and off. Couldn’t see where my glasses were. The person who wax sharing a cubby with them must have knocked them to the ground. Thankfully no one stepped on them, and they weren’t damaged. If there had been signs about needing to remove them, I never would have ridden it and never will again. I wondered if they would have allowed an eyeglass strap around the head. I had one in the room but didn’t think of needing it.

Yeah, I once roed Rip-Ride Rock-It and the signs said to place all items including glasses in lockers, so I did. I am also pretty blind without them although there isn't mich to see. Still, ti was pretty miserable. I asked one of the employees next time and they said glasses were fine to wear.

Also, at Hagrid's they say to leave phones, so we did, and settled in for a long wait with no phones to keep us occupied (actually, just my friend as I don't really stare at it too much in line). Anyway, lo and beholed, nearly everyone still had their phones on them. Considering you might need it if you have digital tickets, etc. It really made no sense, but I didn't want to get busted and turned away for something dumb like that.

There are some locker rides at UO that have leeway. I don't know of any that will not let you wear your glasses though. My husband and son have ridden everything and wear eyeglasses. Some of the locker rides, that do not use a metal detector, will even let you bring on a fanny pack. However, that varies a lot. Sometimes they let my son do it, and sometimes they don't. So, it's best to leave bags and water bottles in the lockers. If it doesn't use a metal detector, then they usually allow you to keep a phone, as long as it can go in a pocket. Hats are debatable too. I usually leave mine behind in the locker.

They do in fact let you wear glasses on all of them, it's just that the messaging wasn't clear on that.

I know Carlye Wisel has repeatedly said on her podcast & socials she had to take her glasses off in Shanghai

I just always wear a strap around my head in amusement parks, because I would be totally hosed if they got lost/broken. I’ve never had a ride operator make me take them off once they knew I had them strapped.

I used to use a strap at Disney until I discovered it was largely unnecessary. For a few rides at Uni I might want it. It may be a good idea to bring it for TRON.
