Refurbishment Projects Beginning at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary Resort Next Week

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Contemporary Resort will both start refurbishment projects next week.

Disney will be refurbishing some guest room balconies at Copper Creek Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge beginning September 26. Guests will see and hear refurbishment work in and around Copper Creek Villas during daytime hours. Refurbishment work is expected to be completed in early November.

From Tuesday, September 27 to Thursday, September 29, refurbishment will take place in the common areas of the 12th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Guests will see and hear refurbishment work throughout the resort’s main tower atrium during daytime hours, typically between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Some elevators will be out of service while this work is completed, but all walkways will remain open.

Reservation Calendar & Wait Time Data Suggests Lull in Crowds Could Soon Be Over at Disney World

Wait time data from thrill-data.com shows that wait times are already up significantly this week over recent weeks. We would expect wait times generally to continue to climb through the end of the year, although the Disney Park Pass system is designed to spread demand as Disney sees fit.
Of course it is! I'm arriving in 40 days, apparently I'm bringing the crowds with me!

Disney Confirms Merriest Nites Not Returning to Disneyland Resort in 2022

Disney has confirmed that Merriest Nites will not return to Disneyland Resort this year.

Disney Merriest Nites was a limited-run hard-ticket after hours event during last year’s winter holidays. Since Disney had not made any announcements regarding its possible return, it was assumed that Merriest Nites would not be back. Disney has now confirmed this rumor.

Refurbishment Notice Added To BoardWalk Website

Back in March 2022, Disney revealed plans to renovate guest rooms and public spaces at Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Villas. The announcement did not reveal any specific timeframe. However a new notice published on Disney websites suggests work may begin sooner rather than later. The text reads:

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas is being refurbished, with new offerings, plus updates coming to our Guest rooms, lobby and more. Please note that while most hotel amenities will remain available, you may be able to see and hear construction during daytime hours. Additionally, please allow for additional travel time.

The notice is not linked to any specific travel dates, nor does it specify exactly when work is slated to occur.

I have lived in Florida all my life and looking at the current models vs the forecasted “cone of concern” both pictured overlapping below right now they are picking the worst case scenario so people get prepared but it’s still a big leap to say that it’s curving back that much to Florida or that it’s even going to get that strong. It’s a case of prepare for the worst and be thankful that it didn’t happen. Usually the cone of concern is based on the middle path of all the models and clearly it’s skewed towards Florida when other models have it going way further into the gulf.1663974052092.png
