Tokyo Disney Resort Removes Nearly All Physical Distancing Markers as Restrictions Ease​

Tokyo Disney Resort has become the first Disney resort in Asia to significantly roll back COVID-19 protocols as approaches to the pandemic change. With this, they have officially removed or nullified all physical distancing markers and lines throughout Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea virtually overnight.

Disneyland Paris' will be launching Premier Access Ultimate for 90 euros this summer. Normal Premier Access was you paying for 1 attraction at a time (AKA ILL$ for every fastpass attraction at DLP)

“Image Design” Face Painting Coming to Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser



Disney has announced that “Image Design” face painting will be coming to the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser May 2nd. Here are the details:

Enhance your character with a personalized, galactic makeover right in your cabin! Our talented “image designers” are ready to create your out-of-this-world look in the style of fan-favorite alien species so iconic to Star Wars. Choose from a selection of eye-catching, face-painted designs for a look that inspires your unique story aboard the Halcyon starcruiser. Plus, appointments are limited, so jump to hyperspace and reserve yours as soon as possible!

• Look for the blue “Batuu Approved” symbol in the species design examples if you’d like to wear a look in the parks, where only partial face covering is allowed.
• The makeover experience will take place at the entry area within your cabin.
• The cabin door will remain open during the transformation.
• This is a face paint experience and does not include any costumes depicted in sample images.
• Guests should arrive at their cabin 15 minutes prior to their service time.
• Transformations take approximately 30 minutes.
• The full price of the service will be charged if cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment time or for no-shows.
• Participating Guests must be 7 years of age or older.
• A parent or guardian must be present during the entire experience for all participants under 18 years of age.

New $69 2-Day Disney Water Park Ticket Now Available to Florida Residents​

Florida residents can now visit Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park with a special 2-Day Disney Water Park Ticket. As a reminder, Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park is closed at this time.

This ticket can be used on consecutive or non-consecutive days, so you can spread out the fun. Florida residents can use this ticket April 26 through June 30, 2022, subject to blockout dates May 27-30, 2022.

I was very surprised when they opened without a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique type Star Wars makeover as an add on for guests. Seems like a no brainer up sell.

Rise of the Resistance and Tower of Terror Delay Opening for Hours, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Still Not Open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios​

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster did not open with the rest of Disney’s Hollywood Studios this morning and remains closed. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance also did not open with the park, but are now operating according to My Disney Experience.

The park opened at 8:00 a.m. so Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been closed for approximately three hours. We don’t know if it will open later today.

Massive Animal Kingdom Park Hours Update for May, June 2022

Disney has updated their park hours calendar, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom has received an abnormally large amount of updates. Typically, Disney will update park hours roughly one week at a time, but this time they provided more than a month’s worth of updates. Here are the changes:

• May 8-14: Park hours extended 7:30am to 8:30pm (previously 9am to 7pm)
• May 15 – June 8, 10, 11: Park hours extended 8am to 8pm (previously 9am to 7pm)
• May 9: Park hours extended 8am to 6pm (previously 9am to 6pm)

Disney Cleans House, End of the Road for Many Experienced Minnie Van Drivers

According to sources familiar with the matter, Disney is in the process of notifying many of the experienced former Minnie Van drivers that they will not be welcomed back into their old roles.

Back in late March, Disney had reached out to many of the former Minnie Van drivers to gauge their interest in returning. Disney then opened up applications only to turn down a great many of the former drivers. Instead, Disney looks to be cleaning house and rejecting just about every former driver who applied.

A job posting popped up on the Disney Careers website last week as Disney looks to bring in new drivers. Disney has previously said that the Minnie Van service will return this summer but has not given an exact date or details.

Water Mist Machines Removed from EPCOT​

Mist machines have been removed from the World Discovery neighborhood of EPCOT. We first noticed the misters were gone from the liquid layer splash pad.

A short construction wall is up where the misters used to be.

The machines were also removed from this area near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
