Blue Bayou Restaurant Closed, Refurbishment Ongoing in New Orleans Square at Disneyland​

Though some construction walls were removed, the refurbishment of Pirates of the Caribbean and New Orleans Square in Disneyland continues. The walkway directly in front of Pirates of the Caribbean is being refurbished.

Some of the concrete has been torn up.

Blue Bayou Restaurant is now closed for refurbishment and construction walls are up in front of it.

Disneyland posted showtimes for Fantasmic, which returns on May 28, 2022.

Beginning on May 28, 2022, Fantasmic will show at 9:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

They were still doing it on our first trip summer 2017, Fantasmic plus a projection and fireworks show. I just remember having to decide between the two.

Disney Cruise Line Announces Summer 2023 Itineraries (May – September) – Disney Dream Heading to Europe

There is a change in the tiered booking cadence. While Summer 2023 dates were announced today, general booking will not open until Monday May 9th. The new spread out tiered booking period will begin Monday May 2nd for Castaway Club Members and some others.

• Monday May 2nd – Platinum Members, Golden Oak Club Members and Club 33 Members
• Tuesday May 3rd – Gold Castaway Club members
• Thursday May 5th – Silver Members, Disney Vacation Club Members and Adventures by Disney Insiders
• Monday May 9th, first time cruisers will be able to book.

That's all good - theirs was pretty much a clone of the Disneyland version, however it had a slightly different aesthetic in the interior decor. I don't mind this at all - looks cool! I like how it still has the iconic spires at the top, but is still quite unique and updated.

Yeah, but I would never want them to come after the original Space Mountain. It's so classic!

I don't mind when other parks get something different. Like when tehy redid Tower of Tower as Guardians - I was fine with it as long as they keep it in Disneyland!

Our newest Disney PhotoPass Lens launches today, and it’ll make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time to Halloween night, 1939. Tip: When using this Lens, go far enough down Sunset Boulevard to hear the shrieks of those onboard the attraction (if I’m riding, you won’t even have to get that close). It really adds to the mood.

For an attraction that specifically asks for no flash pictures due to the spirits being sensitive to bright lights, I’m about to talk about something ironic: onboard photos.
Starting today, all foolish mortals materializing onboard this attraction at Magic Kingdom Park will notice that your photo will have a new look. As they’re known to do, the grim grinning ghosts are coming out to socialize – in the dead space of your photo! And if you ride this attraction about 10+ times each visit like I do (not hyperbole), you’ll also notice that each time you ride, a different ghost might follow you home.
