The difference between the Bobs is that when one fleeces you, you feel good about it, and when the other fleeces you, you don’t.

Come to think of it, ”feeling good about being fleeced” pretty much describes every Disney Parks trip I’ve ever taken.

Agree… I don’t mind paying more if I didn’t feel like I was getting less for it

Don’t be a Scrooge! It’s time to celebrate the magic of the holiday season alongside your D23 family and Disney Springs, with The Muppet Christmas Carol 30th Anniversary Screening at Walt Disney World!
At this very special big-screen celebration, D23 members and their guests will receive their very own Christmas caroling book to help them sing along with the classic songs before heading into the AMC Disney Springs 24 theater to commemorate 30 years of this heartwarming and Muppet-ational classic. Just before the film begins, the D23 team will offer up an exclusive behind-the-scenes presentation filled with fun facts about this holiday classic; additionally, guests will have the chance to show off their ugliest holiday sweaters during our Ugly Sweater Showcase! And after the sing-along screening, guests will enjoy a specialty sweet treat from Disney Springs’ own Gideon’s Bakehouse.
The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992), the Muppets’ version of Charles Dickens’ classic tale, puts a unique twist on that fateful Christmas Eve when Scrooge is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Together with kind, humble Bob Cratchit (Kermit the Frog) and his family, the Spirits open Scrooge's eyes—and his heart—to the true meaning of Christmas. Rated G.

I got both my spring trips booked on this code, Sunshine Flyer is great—and it’s so much less walking at the airport to get to than DME (now Mears)

I did it my last trip and didnt have any issues - hardest part was finding them (lol - a lot fo people said the same thing) .....except I sat at the airport for 2 hours before my boarding. I have TSA Precheck so security was super quick. anyway, they said once I got my pickup email, I could call and request a different pick up time and if they could accommodate, they would. It was ok last trip, but this trip that a precious 2 hours, so I'll be calling them for sure.

NEW: Bob Iger will be paid an annual base salary of $1 million with a possible 100% annual bonus. He'll also "be granted a long-term incentive award having a target value of $25 million" for each fiscal year in the agreement. His term is currently set to end December 31, 2024.

In a new filing, Disney says it "exercised its right to terminate without cause" the employment of Bob Chapek.

"Mr. Chapek will receive the separation benefits payable in accordance with the terms of his previously disclosed employment agreement."

As for Iger's $25 million long-term incentive: Disney says 60% of this target award value "will be provided in the form of performance-based restricted stock units and the remaining 40% will be in the form of stock options."

Yann Demange to Direct ‘Blade’ With Michael Starrbury to Write New Script

Marvel Studios’ Blade has found its new director! According to Deadline, Yann Demange (White Boy Rick) has signed on to direct the project, taking over for Bassam Tariq, who departed due to creative differences.

Additionally, Michael Starrbury (When They See Us) has been brought on to write a new script for the project. Starrbury’s script is expected to bring Marvel a darker tone than any of their previous projects, but insiders say the project won’t go nearly as dark as the previous Blade films. Following weeks of meetings and pitches, Demange would land the job after delivering a pitch that execs were excited about.

In an email to employees, Iger said the company will soon begin a "reorganization of Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution." Daniel was the Chairman of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution.

Dana Walden, Alan Bergman, Jimmy Pitaro, and Christine McCarthy will be tasked with helping develop a more "efficient" and "cost-effective" structure.

For those who might be unfamiliar, Kareem Daniel was widely viewed as Bob Chapek's right-hand.

"Asked to leave" I am sure.

Full Memo from CEO Bob Iger to DMED (Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution)

Dear DMED Employees,

As we embark on the transformative work that I mentioned to you in my email last night, I want to begin by offering my sincere appreciation and gratitude to each and every one of you.

Over the coming weeks, we will begin implementing organizational and operating changes within the company. It is my intention to restructure things in a way that honors and respects creativity as the heart and soul of who we are. As you know, this is a time of enormous change and challenges in our industry, and our work will also focus on creating a more efficient and cost-effective structure.

I've asked Dana Walden, Alan Bergman, Jimmy Pitaro, and Christine McCarthy to work together on the design of a new structure that puts more decision-making back in the hands of our creative teams and rationalizes costs, and this will necessitate a reorganization of Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution. As a result, Kareem Daniel will be leaving the company, and I hope you will all join me in thanking him for his many years of service to Disney.

Our goal is to have the new structure in place in the coming months. Without question, elements of DMED will remain, but I fundamentally believe that storytelling is what fuels this company, and it belongs at the center of how we organize our businesses.

This is a moment of great change and opportunity for our company as we begin our second century, and I am so proud to be leading this team again. I can't say it enough: I'm incredibly grateful for the tremendous work you do each day, and for your commitment to maintaining the level of excellence Disney has always been known for.

I know change can be unsettling, but it is also necessary and even energizing, and so I ask for your patience as we develop a roadmap for this restructuring. More information will be shared over the coming weeks. Until a new structure is put in place, we will continue to operate under our existing structure. In the meantime, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, and thank you again for all you do.

Bob
