I could see Disney going with a tiered ticket system instead of an upgrade on top of the park hopper. You could have the standard single park ticket. The mid level would be similar to the current park hopper where you could hop starting at 2PM. Then they could have their Hopper+, where you can hop from park to park as early as you want given that you reserved in advance or check Hopper+ availability on the app. I can't see them limiting the current 2PM hopping, but nothing past that would surprise me with Disney anymore.
oh no, this sounds terrible. When do people start taking their money elsewhere?

Ooooo, kind of interested in this. I know it won't be anything like Stranger Things but I get a Goonies vibe from Stranger Things.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Returns August 25

Magic makeovers are back!
I’m pleased to share that earlier today, a magical proclamation was found in Fantasyland announcing a very special return. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will soon welcome young guests once again for royal head-to-toe transformations at both Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland park at Disneyland Resort on August 25.

Our cast members – Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices – will transform guests ages 3 to 12 into some of their favorite Disney characters with hairstyling, makeup, costumes and accessories. In addition, the reopening ushers in even more options to choose from, including a new hair accessory especially designed for textured hair and new costumes featuring some of Disney’s newest heroes and heroines coming later this year.

I love how they are working to make this a more inclusive experience and expand beyond just princesses.

What about a fee you pay so you don't need park reservations? THAT would be awesome, and open up our plans for our vacation without being locked down to an exact plan of what we're doing each day. Especially with 10-day tickets in a 15 day window. We have to decide RIGHT NOW - instead of when we're tired - what days will be rest days.

Sadly, I would probably pay that added fee to go back to my 'no reservation hop whenever I want' days. There were plenty of times during Food/Wine when I was done late morning in HS, and would spontaneously decide to leisurely walk over Epcot ... check out the Boardwalk, pass through the International Gateway and check out the food booths, and then leave via the front of Epcot to take the monorail to the Bay Lake area. Those days are done unless I want to wait until 2PM and already have my entire day planned out.

Not Disney related ... but if you like Stranger Things and have Amazon Prime ... keep an eye out for Paper Girls dropping at the end of July. The comic book it's based on was a really fun read and I'm guessing there will be a ton of comparisons for the early episodes to Stranger Things ... but the comic did pre-date Stranger Things by ~ a year

Early Theme Park Entry, Package Delivery Available Starting August 8 for Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests

Disneyland Resort hotels have new offerings starting this summer, in addition to the discounts we already reported on. Starting August 8, 2022, Disneyland Resort hotel guests will be able to visit the theme parks 30 minutes before they open to regular guests.
Valid park admission and a Park Pass reservation are still required for early entry, just like at Walt Disney World. Early entry will be available every day at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, with select attractions, dining, and shopping open to hotel guests.

Package delivery will also be available beginning on August 8. Hotel guests will be able to have their in-park purchases sent to the hotel for pick-up the next day.

I never read that, but I see it's by Brian K. Vaughn, who also wrote Runaways, which was made into a show for Hulu but is now on Disney+ too - and it's good!

Yep, he's one of my favorite writers. Created the Runaways, and also wrote Y: the Last Man and Saga

I never did read The Runaways comic, but the show was great! It had come out at a time when I wasn't a big Marvel fan - kinda like now. I was dismissive of any of their new concepts.

I wonder how much business Disney would lose if there was a train connection between EPIC Universe and Disney Springs. To get to EPIC Universe you can ride the train. To get to Disney's own parks you would need to take a bus or car. EPIC Universe would be like Disney's unofficial 5th gate (without Disney getting the money).

Interesting take, I'm sure it's been discussed.

As an AP at both (who also does DS a lot), we would for sure hop to Epic.

On the flip side, if we were staying at US, we would hop the train to DS just to do DS. But would also occasionally take a bus to say BW/BC and walk into EPCOT, or CR/GF and walk into MK.

Honestly not sure I want DS that busy though. So this might be best.

Barber shop reservations dropped this morning - we've been waiting 2.5 years for his first haircut :rolleyes1 I resent the 6am alarm but they went FAST so I was thankful I didn't roll back over. I don't think well that early but I was able to snag a spot that worked great with our schedule after a few tries of sold out dates.

I know there is super limited capacity but clearly others have been holding out, too!
Yeah I didn’t get anything! Super bummed but really excited you for one! First hair cut is so fun! My daughter has only had 2 hair cuts both there….

Bob is the right leader at the right time for The Walt Disney Company, and the Board has full confidence in him and his leadership team.”
