I’m hoping we get an itinerary for Star Wars Nite tonight so I don’t have to go in blind 😂 But at the very least, it looks like a lot of the Star Wars Day treats are already out, so I’ll be trying them later.

I still kind of want to figure out the best way to add a lining to my original red skyliner bucket to use as a purse

Various lightsabers from the Star Wars franchise are returning to Fortnite for two weeks starting today, Epic Games has announced. These include the lightsabers wielded by Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Obi-Wan, and Mac Windu. The iconic weapons previously appeared in Fortnitein a 2019 event that coincided with the release of Rise of Skywalker. Their return is designed to coincide with May the 4th, aka Star Wars day.
Players will be able to go through Stormtrooper training to earn an Empire Banner, and the E-11 Blaster Rifle is also returning to the island. Previously available Star Wars-themed outfits, which include versions of Rey and Finn, are also making a return.

On the Tomorrowland news:

I'd be lying if I said the idea didn't stress me out.

Tomorrowland 100% needs a remodel. That's not a question. But god is it gonna be a mess for years if they just shutdown the whole entire land. I sincerely do hope they'll do it in parts, because it's gonna be a disaster otherwise

That's how I feel. I don't want it to lose it's general feel either. Yes, it does need some work, and I know the PeopleMover track poses some challenges, but I wouldn't want to see it drastically changed visually, nor would I really want that Tokyo version of Space Mountain to become the dominant style (I like it for Tokyo though). I hope they strike a nice balance.

Haven’t been to Disneyland for a decade, didn’t realize they still had their peoplemover track! I’m curious too about what will be done.

I sure hope this one will be around for awhile. I'd love to get one in July, but based on the Figment bucket debacle, I don't have a lot of confidence that Disney had enough produced for that. Sob....

The track sits there, a looming reminder of what once was. Rumor has it that the track was structurally damaged by the ill-fated Rocket Rods attraction, but becuase the tracks are actually part of most of the buildings that it cannot simply be removed. The stanchions also create bottelnecks in certain areas, though this could be aleviated if the Astro Orbiter were moved. I'm not convinced that it is impossible to fix the track or somehow retrofit the buildings, but it would be a major undertaking that they have been so-far unwilling to pursue. Demolition and rebuild may be the more efficient option, but it would gut Tomorrowland completely. That PeopleMover track goes way out, even to the Submarine Voyage area!

It was very sad the first time I went to DLR post Peoplemover. I never take that ride for granted when I go to WDW. I ride it several times per trip.

I don't get the popcorn bucket thing.

It seems like a lot to drag around after eating the popcorn. (I don't eat popcorn though).

Do people bring these back home as collection items?

I agree that they are difficult to carry around, but people absolutely take them home as collectibles. Some of them are pretty cool. The only one I have was a TIE Fighter given at the Star Wars Galactic Desert Party. I was expecting the Chewbacca Stein, but they subbed it out. Both are nice though!

I think they go way over the top with their flavors. But, for those that love it I hope they visit often.
I don't see the place lasting, but I could be wrong.
I love dropping into the ice cream place in France at Epcot. No schlep to Disney springs. No vinegar ice cream, either. :rotfl:
I am from near Portland Oregon and its been alive and well here for years, expanding all the way across the country! Some of the flavors can be odd, but so many are delicious if you give them a try!
