Disneyland Expected to Announce Tomorrowland Overhaul at D23 Expo 2022​

We’re getting closer to the D23 Expo and closer to new announcements! The Expo is being held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California this September. One of the reported announcements for Disneyland Resort is an overhaul of Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park.
We initially reported this overhaul back in 2019 alongside the Toontown reimagining that is currently underway. According to internal sources, it was to be a multi-year, $600 million dollar re-imagining of the entire land set to be completed in 2025-6. Given that three years have passed, the original scope of the project has likely changed. It’s unknown if that budget or timeframe are still on track.

Hours Extended at All Four Walt Disney World Theme Parks in Mid-May​

Guests will have more time to enjoy the Walt Disney World theme parks between May 15 and May 21, 2022, as hours have been extended.

Magic Kingdom​

Magic Kingdom will still open at 9:00 a.m., and it will remain open for an extra hour until 11:00 p.m. on May 16, 17, 19, 20, and 21.

EPCOT​

EPCOT will now be open from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily from May 15 through 21. Early entry will begin daily at 8:00 a.m. for hotel guests.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios​

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also now open at 8:30 a.m. from May 15 through 21, with early entry at 8:00 a.m. It will close at 9:00 p.m. the entire week.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom​

Finally, enjoy a morning at Animal Kingdom starting at 7:30 a.m. (or 7:00 a.m. if you are a resort guest). The park will close at 8:00 p.m.

You can help build an 8′ tall LEGO Yoda Model in Downtown Disney



Guests visiting the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort can stop by the LEGO store and help build an 8-foot tall LEGO Yoda! This activity comes just before Star Wars Day on May 4th.

Guests of all ages can stop by the LEGO store and help build larger LEGO bricks using smaller bricks. The larger bricks are then used to build the 8-foot Yoda model. The bricks are in three colors: green, brown, and tan.

The model building started yesterday and will take place today and tomorrow as well. You can help build the LEGO Yoda today from 12 to 7 pm and tomorrow, May the 4th, from 12 to 7 pm.

A Walt Disney World mannequin with a cochlear implant has recently been making the rounds on social media as fans praise the representation. More disability representation has been added to Creations Shop in EPCOT with a mannequin now in a wheelchair.

New 50th Anniversary Disney Skyliner Popcorn Bucket Soars Into EPCOT​

A new popcorn bucket inspired by the Disney Skyliner and honoring 50 years of Walt Disney World has soared into EPCOT. The first Skyliner popcorn bucket was released in 2020.

You can find the new one at the World Celebration popcorn stand, near Creations Shop.
