I laughed at this, but I am going to be really upset if my not getting an email prevents me from getting into the Sept. 28 MM at AK. This will be my first time having a trip line up with a special event.
You're supposed to get the emails no matter what but I didn't get one either (or the one sent out last week informing everyone that this would be happening)I am just curious for DVC previews. Do you only get the email if you have an existing reservation during the preview dates? I am DVC (blue card)but don’t always get the emails.
Huh... this is... odd. I hope it is not true but also.... how hard did the baby zebra hit the fence?? I mean... it's a fence, not a concrete wall. That just seems odd to me.View attachment 662406
Someone is reporting a death of a baby zebra at what seems to be AKL. Hope it’s not true.
We're blue card and never got an email about this. No reservation at the time. I have no idea why some blue cards get these and some don't. We don't go until December, so it doesn't matter, but still annoying.I am just curious for DVC previews. Do you only get the email if you have an existing reservation during the preview dates? I agree. I am a veterinarian that deals with horses in the fence all the time. Many have severe injuries, but it's rarely fatal. I don't know off-hand, but I would assume that AKL has some kind of horse-safe fencing (not barbed wire), so it should be even less likely that severe injury would occur. But anything can happen, I guess.Huh... this is... odd. I hope it is not true but also.... how hard did the baby zebra hit the fence?? I mean... it's a fence, not a concrete wall. I agree. I also feel like if a baby zebra really died on Disney property and guests saw it (as the OP mentions the CM was talking to other guests besides her), this would be bigger news than some random lady's facebook posting?I agree. Lol! I am an AP holder and DVC and I have yet to get an email for either. I do not have a stay booked so I wonder if that is why???

Check your communication preferences with Disney it may be the case that you have opted out. I know with DVC in order for my guide to call us I had to go and change my contact preferences. We're blue card and never got an email about this. No reservation at the time. Agreed. I don't think they have high tensile fence anywhere.I agree. I am a veterinarian that deals with horses in the fence all the time. Many have severe injuries, but it's rarely fatal. There’s fencing at kidani over by where the pembe and sunset savanna’s meet. Its where the backstage pens are you can only see them if you stay at the very end of kidani in the pumba section. It where we always request to stay as the animals congregate there.Agreed. I don't think they have high tensile fence anywhere.

Yes but I don't think it's high tensile. At least I sure as heck hope not. There’s fencing at kidani over by where the pembe and sunset savanna’s meet.
