Disney needs to post AP Blackout dates 24 months out

Exactly, it's like buying a Magic Your Way date specific park pass, then less than 3 months out from your trip, Disney saying Sorry, we won't honor your pass on those dates, even though the parks will be open and you have park days reserved.

Are we 100% certain that the certificates actually expire 1 year after purchase? I think that's the reason for the OP's question about 24 months of information. I read on another blog the 1-year expiration was a glitch and it's not actually true, and it's being fixed. If the certificates don't expire for many years (like the 'old' APs), the concern about blackout dates 2 years from now might not be a big deal. I'm just not clear on the certificates just yet.

Wouldn't do any good, apparently blackout dates can change, look what they did with the unactivated gold passes.

So we have an activated DVC Gold (since May 2021), do we know if we can use it at Thanksgiving (grandfathered in), or were we switched to Sorcerer and blacked out Thanksgiving. thanks.

If your Gold Pass was activated prior to September 7, 2021, the original blockout dates should apply.

I checked my gold pass exchange 2099 today and there was a link to the gold pass blackout dates. Poor form Disney if you’re going to convert it to Sorcerer!

Yes. There are post all over other sites with people who have been told by CMs in the parks that it is not activate it.

I'm probably missing something, but I was able to get new Gold passes this past May, when I try to get a park pass the week of this Thanksgiving, it lets me get them if we want to.
We won't be there until March 2022.

If you have Thanksgiving Week reservations this year, unless your Gold Pass was activated by Sept 7, it will not include your entire 2021 Thanksgiving Week

It was quite the shock to see it rolled out. So glad our APs already activated or we’d be out of luck for our annual Thanksgiving trip

It has been until they added Thanksgiving dates to the new Sorcerer pass, with only 3 months notice that a gold pass bought would not work.

Yep, bit of a dirty trick in my book. They should’ve given an initial moratorium on prebooked DVC reservations thanksgiving this year for those with vouchers IMO

Well yes, but you can guess that going forward those days will be blocked out in future years. My point is in the past the blackout days were consistent with the specific pass, so you can always assume when the blackout days are in the future.

If u r saying you activated it via renewal or have used already in the parks, you are good to go

when it’s time to renew it, then you will be looking at sorcerer
