I`m going to disney for the very first time in January...
..I want to see and do everything...but I guess that`s impossible

Sooo..I was wondering..what would you say that are the 10 rides/shows/other that I can`t miss??

there are so many more things, but those are just my top 10 (actually its more like top 13... haha)

I haven't been to Disney since 2002! So it's kind of hard for me to remember what rides are good, and which ones aren't... =\

Magic Kingdom:
1. Splash Mountain
2. Big Thunder Mountain
3. Space Mountain
4. tea cups! <-- they are so fun!

Animal Kingdom:
1. Expedition: Everest (haven't been on it, but its supposed to be good)

MGM:
1. Tower of Terror
2. The Great Movie Ride
3. Rockin' Rollercoaster
4. Star Tours

Epcot:
1. Test Track
2. Illuminations


Hope you can go on all of these rides! I wish I could go back to Disney... =\

Oh well. Have fun anyway! And those are my top 11, not 10. haha.

You really can't limit it to ten. A better question would be "What attractions do I avoid in order to make time for the more fun ones?)
To that, in no particular order, I respond:
Stitch's Great Escape
The Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management
The American Adventure AND the Hall of Presidnets (I just think that I would rather learn about other countries in World Showcase than our own. The one in MK has great audio animatronics, but there are lots of other rides that are more fun and less stuffy.)
Playhouse Disney Live on Stage (unless there are younger people in your party)
I recommend almost everything else. I just can't narrow it down. There are some, like Mission: Space, that I just don't like, bu tlots of people do, so I don't put it on the list. The ones above consistently get 'low marks.'

well it depends on how long u r going for. a week or more u can get each park done in 1 day.. 1 1/2 max, except for animal kingdom and mgm... thats 1 day each or even half a day

It's a Small World (EVERYONE must experience this!!!)

A *quick* walk through of Innoventions
Illuminations (In my opinion...if you see NOTHING else at Disney...you MUST see Illuminations)

MGM:

Tower of Terror
Rock 'n Roller Coaster
Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular (For a lot of us, this is very old news...the FIRST time you see it, it is AMAZING!)
Fantasmic

Animal Kingdom:

Dinosaur (HIGHLY recommend)
Expedition Everest

Those are the list of things you MUST see when at WDW...there are MANY MANY other rides and attractions you SHOULD experience to truly "feel Disney"...but if you are squeezed for time...PLEASE enjoy these!
