I've been wanting to start collecting Disney movies for awhile now (mainly for my future children to have) and I got something in the mail for this. Does anyone have this membership? Is it worth it? Cheaper to do this instead of buying DVDs at a store?

I've been using it for a few years now and i'd say generally it's cheaper then full price in the stores. I've purchased about 60 blu-rays and they usually run buy one full price ($25ish) then get the rest 60% off so there are deals to be had. Just remember to always decline the monthly selection or they will send it to you automatically.

We have it...I would say a little cheaper but a lot more convenient. They also run pretty good specials from time to time.

depends on if you only want new movies or previous movies. If you are starting and just want the new releases as they come out then no. if you wait and get some old ones then yes you can save. Debating on canceling our membership as I haven't ordered in over a year because I've found it cheaper to get them at target when they release cheaper.

Definitely google it, I think I found a link where I got 5 movies for $1 or whatever it was, and only had to buy 3, but it also let you buy your 1st for like $12.

So 6 movies for 13, then only had to buy 2 more.

The initial deal is great. We don't buy every month for various reasons. Occasionally DMC has sent us the movie regardless of opting out, but not to the point where it's that annoying. I do wish they'd stop it though. Buying new movies is a little frustrating because they're almost always on sale cheaper at a box store, but... lately DMC is more valuable because of 2 movie combo deals. And you certainly can't beat the convenience.

I also like the Blu Ray shorts collections that I'd probably never convince myself to buy without DMC. We have the Pixar one, Halloween one, and Mickey's Once & Twice Upon a Christmas.

Also, DMC is amazing for getting Disney Movie Rewards points!

I like it. I don't purchase every month, but when I know there is a new movie that I want coming out and the VIP discount is up to 60% off additional movies, then I usually will purchase 2-4 movies. There are good promotions throughout the year and they send you cute little freebies with your monthly catalog. This month they sent a little 2016 calendar that DH grabbed for his desk. Have gotten stickers and other things in the past that make cute gift for kids.

You just have to be disciplined enough to opt out each time you don't want the monthly selection. I do this right when the email notice comes so that I don't put it off and forget.

I cancelled ours because I kept getting sent featured movies, even though I'd opt out every time I got an e-mail alerting me that I had a selection to confirm. Each time it happened they'd check that I was opted in to all e-mails and would say I was, but somehow there must have been e-mails I was not getting. They'd always allow me to return them at no charge to me but it was a hassle and I didn't buy anything often enough to make it worth it. YMMV. If they'd stop automatically sending you the featured movies, and instead only send it if you confirm that you want it, I'd join again. But I'm sure enough people just keep the movie that they won't change that part of the program.

do these contain the digital codes? not really wanting to collect the physical copies but willing to acquire digital copies
