1 > You must convert your song to MP3 or WMA and have them saved in a folder ( I-TUNEs, My music,or create a MIX STICKS folder in my docs and put them there).

2 > This will allow you to either put them directly on the MS or the SSD card.

3 > Turn off your MS and insert card ( if no card just skip)


4 > Plug into USB port (if this is first time it will find and load drivers XP -win 98 load Cd drivers.

5 > Open MyComp. click Folders (giving you directory on left and files on right)

6 > You should see 2 new drives (MINE are Removable H: {MS} & Card I:{SSD card}) these might be different letters but it should be 2 new drives.

6B > If this was a new SD card continue if not you need to format the card.
Right click the card drive (ONLY very IMPORTANT not the player
CARD only) select format > Quick format >ok >ok when erase all data.


7 > Open files from step 1 (music files ) / Drag & drop them into I:Card drive (or H:MS if thats where you want them).

8 > when finished loading all your files click on H:card drive and see if the files appear on the right side of window ( if so they loaded /if not try again and make sure you take time in dropping them into that drive).

9 > do the safely remove hardware and unplug MS & enjoy.


I hope this helps everyone I just think this is the easiest way to do it instead of using Win Media as a loader.
I have loaded both the Mp3 from I-Tunes as well as WMA from WMP on both the card and the MS .

PM me if you need anyother info I used a 1GB card as well.

where did you get your mix stick. They don't have them locally yet, and disney is 4 weeks out to ship them.

Our local target has all three styles yesterday. They were on an endcap and there were at least 10 of each. They also had the cases, headphones and music to go with them.

I got one for my DS but when I was checking out the cashier said she thought I needed a charger. I thought this was like an IPOD shuffle, where the PC would charge it? Do I need a charger, or whatever comes in the package is all I need?

this is like the shuffle it charges via the usb port.
They do sell a charger that plugs into the wall that might be good on trips with no computer access

They charge through the USB connection. Your PC needs to be on, and it needs to be pluged in long enough to charge.

You can also get a charger or a stand with speakers in it that will charge it while it plays.

Yes you can use your I-Tunes folder with my directions if they are in I-Tunes as MP3 or WMA (you can check this by right clicking on a song and selecting prop.
When in win.ex. you would open MyDOC>MY MUSIC>I-TUNES and all your music should be there then just drag and drop them into to MIX STIX drive
