Disney Messed Up!

I made a reservation back in August for a WDW vacation December 9-16, AKL, MYW base + dining. I called back a few weeks later after a new Visa Card discount came out to apply that discount to my package. I was given a new price which was $377 less than the original quote. When I went to pay the balance this week, I realized the discount had not been applied. When I called reservations they would not honor the discount code that the cast member told me was applied back in August.

Now, not only did I not receive the discount. I have missed out on all the other discounts for the year. I'm really upset. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do????

Well, if it were me I would call back and speak to someone else- if still not happy-- email guest relations about your problem.
 
Definately email! I would include dates/times/names if you have them. Good luck, I hope they take care of it. We had an issue, I emailed, and someone actually called me. I just made sure to write a very detailed letter when I wrote.
 

That steams me (for you)! I'd for sure call or email a supervisor, and NOT pay that discount they didn't take off when you phoned about it.
 
Thats horrible... As pp said call back & write... either way your going on the trip? correct? Tell them that you will be there but there has to be something they can do.. I wish you alot of luck and I hope that they can do something.
 
We'll be there 12/9 through 12/15 so i hope to see you there.:thumbsup2 Definetly contact Guest Relations or email them and tell them of the situation. Disney is very good about handling things like these. I emailed Guest Relations about an issue and they ended up calling me and upgrading me from standard view to savannah view at no extra charge.:cool1:

I have a question - did you receive an updated confirmation in the mail or by email after you made the change to the original quote?
 
I would definitely call back and talk to someone else.
Back in March we booked the $49 a night rate for our December trip. When a different rate came out we called to find out how much it would be and if we would save any money. The CM cancelled our original reservation and strated booking the new one which would have cost us a WHOLE lot more than our original reservation. DH quickly told him that NO we were just getting a quote but it was too late :( We had already paid the deposit but it didn't matter. We had to Fax over a copy of our original confirmation slip for them to give us our original reservation back. It was a bit of a PIA. But it all worked out in the end and they gave us $50 in disney dollars for our trouble.
