Disney Meal Plan

I called the reservation line and asked about getting the Disney Dining Plan and even though I'm staying at the Shades of Green (a Disney Resort) they said that it does not participate in the meal plan so I can not purchase one. Does anyone know if this is true. Can you only get a Disney Dining Plan if you are staying at a participating Disney Resort?

I beleive that this is true... sorry I know that this istrue for the Swan and Dolphin, so I have to assume that it applies to SOG too. But, someone else out there might know better than I do.... Good Luck!

You can only get the dining plan if you are staying at a Disney-owned resort.

Shades of Green and the Swan/Dolphin, although they are on WDW property, are not owned by Disney and are not eligible. (Shades of Green is owned by the Department of Defense, not by Disney.)

I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't possible to get a disney dinning plan. It's a shame that they aren't available for anyone visiting disney world.

Disney would like to encourage its visitors to stay in its own resorts for obvious reasons.
