Disney Marathon Weekend 2012

I can't seem to find the answer on the "official" race site, so I'm hopeful someone out there might know. I understand that race registrations are nonrefundable. What I don't know is whether once you've signed up for your particular race, can it be changed to either a longer race or a shorter race? Anyone have any experience with this?

There have been cases of Disney allowing it, if there's still space available in the race you want to switch to. I was allowed to switch from the full Marathon to the Goofy when Disney opened up more Goofy spaces in 2010.

However, it is entirely up to runDisney's discretion, whether they allow it or not. They may also allow it in some cases, and then later change their minds and not allow others to switch. It's best to register for a race you're sure you can run, to avoid later disappointment.
