Doesn't sound too tragic tho - an extra day on the sea... yay.

But then waht are they going to do for the people who were supposed to have boarded today and will not leave until tomorrow.

I know that Disney is making arrangements for them to stay either on or off property tonight and providing them with meal vouchers for lunch and a $20 per person shipboard credit to cover dinner. But the cruise itself will be cut back by a day.

This is one of those "accept the things you can not change" moments in life. Disney has to put the safety of the passengers ahead of their convenience. Having the added expense of rebooking a flight or calling work to say you will be a day late beats bobbing around the Caribbean sea waiting for the Coast Guard to come rescue you. As for the people on land, their trip would be delayed more then a day if the ship has to be raised off of the sea floor and hung out to dry.

Perhaps while they passengers on the ship are sitting around the Caribbean and those on land are enjoying their free admission to Epcot Disney can hand out lemons and teach everyone how to turn them into lemonade.

Not sure, but it seems DCL has a hospitaility area at EPCOT, and the guests had to go to this area to pick up their tickets. I'm betting they could go to any park, but I read in a post that DCL provided snacks, etc for their guests at the old Wonders of Life pavilion.

Epcot is also the largest and best able to absorb a sudden influx of unexpected guests...

Definitely safety first. Perhaps everyone who is waiting and upset can watch "The Perfect Storm" while they wait and then see if they still are quite so angry...
