I got a second blue ribbon chest last night, with more Smee tokens. But like a few others, I went ahead and got a lot of elixir and got most of Smee's tokens that way so I could welcome him.

I used to be able to finish a collection in two update cycles but the longer collection times and lower drop rates are slowing things down. The character limit means I have characters "at home" who could be dropping tokens, and I've been needing to put tower people back on the shelf if they are not active in the tower.

Thanks for the Smee hat tip! In my windows game, I don't have Hook so that was super helpful. And I am with you on leveling lag right now. This game is feeling like work right now. I don't know if it is because I am fighting some depression or they have just made it too slow at this point. How are you guys feeling about it?

It is definitely not just you. It is one long slog. The kicker for me is trying to pick which 12 characters to be my “favorites” or whatever they are called. I always seem to end up getting tokens on characters that I forgot I was even still working on. Yeah, it is really like that

I have been depressed here too, so I can’t rule that part completely out, but it definitely hard to find the joy in Mudville lately

Oh I have like 130+ characters at varying levels of needing to upgrade. I just have to review all of my characters like every few days to see who is ready to upgrade.

While my spreadsheet is not as impressive as @Jason_V , I started keeping track of what tokens I had collected for each character. I also make a note of whether or not the token is in the Token shop or not. I did this to help me focus on the higher level characters to try and get them to Level 10 so they could be put away and don't have to collect any longer.

I then update this spreadsheet every day or so to see the progress. Currently I have Reuben, Embarassment and Flo sort of "marked" since they are all Level 9 and their tokens can be purchased in the shop. Then I look at which token is running 'slower' and those are the ones I typically will purchase each day for the daily task.

When we start an event or add a new character, I will sometimes keep track of the number of tokens needed to welcome them. I even added a reminder for Figment to go get the daily chest from the online shop. The other thing I do is rearrange them based on the order of the character groupings. For me, just makes it easier to go through them fairly quickly to update.

I will also mention that given I only have 16 characters I am currently collecting for, this is probably a much easier way to track than for others that haven't been playing as long and don't have all of the characters.

But I will echo other people's comments that this sometimes feels like work. With the Rare, Epic and Legendary tokens and the drop rate (not to mention some only having a few characters to collect tokens) makes this feel like a slog more often than not. I do sort of welcome the Tower Challenge since I use that time to level characters up.

Now that people have been collecting the Pins for about a week, I was curious to know if anyone has been able to get any Pins for the Rapunzel Set. So far that is the only Pin set I have not received any Pins.
