I know this probably isn't the right board but I couldn't figure out which board to post on...

I am looking for Disney luggage. Not the over the top cartoon characters but nice luggage. I think know I saw a picture the other day of someone packed and ready to go and it was blue or black with the mickey head on it. Does anyone know where you can find this type things? At disneyshopping.com I just found like kids back packs.

Any help would be appreciated.

I work for AAA and we have started selling it in our office.

You might want to check with a location close to you.

They also have free shipping right now. I have the red set, and love it. We took it to WDW last year and it held up fine. I have the large bag packed for my trip in 13 days:banana:   and I'm packing the smaller one right now for a weekend trip to my mother's house. Not too cutesy at all-just a small Mickey on each piece.

The luggage I think you're talking about is available at Disney Shopping. It comes in red http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...d=-1&categoryId=11777&catalogFromSearch=10002 and charcoal http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...d=-1&categoryId=11777&catalogFromSearch=10002, and the 3-piece set priced at $129.95, is currently on sale for $59.95 (yes, for all three pieces).

I don't have this set, nor do I know anyone who does, so I cannot speak to the actual quality.

I have this set in black and it is fabulous! I received it as a gift (thank you, Wisbucky!) last year and was overly impressed with the quality.

One thing to remember is, lighter colors tend to show marks. The red might show more scuff marks than the charcoal. If it comes in black, I would recommend that color! :thumbsup2

All in all, I love my Mickey luggage! :yay:

At the General Store at Old Key West Resort,it is black with Mickey head on sides.:goodvibes :goodvibes

Unfortunately, the item description says, "Not eligible for Free or discounted Shipping offers."

I'm glad to hear you love your set. My 26-inch suitcase was damaged on my last trip down there in September so I need a new suitcase, but want something that will hold up. I looked at this set earlier, but wasn't sure about the quality. Now I may have to give this set another look.

ETA- I just tried ordering the set with the freeshipping code and it did not work (had to test it, you know ;) ). With shipping ($12.50) and tax ($3.63), the total comes to $76.12.

ETA AGAIN - Found a code for 15% off that works. I typed in 1699 in the promotional code box and got 15% off, so this brought the total down to $66.67.

Unfortunately, free shipping is not eligible for luggage putchased on line. They do have Charcoal, Red and a sage green.

Sorry about that. I got mine with free shipping last spring (2006). I guess alot of people did and it cost them too much money.

Also, here is a link to AAA Disney luggage (through ebags.com) http://www.ebags.com/search/index.c...id=10690&categoryid=41659&end_keywords=disney. It costs more, but is on sale for 20% off the AAA discounted priced until Nov. 8. I'm pretty sure you have to be a AAA member to get the discounted price.

I wish they had the larger 26-inch suitcases, but it looks like the largest size available is 21-inch. Still, I'm thinking about perhaps getting this rolling backpack for work (or my next WDW trip!).

ETA - Just checked, you do NOT have to be a AAA member to get the sale price.

I have the red luggage and have used it for at least 5 trips. It has held up very well.

I bought a set from Disney shopping a few years ago and it has held up great. I've taken 2 trips to MN with it and a trip to NYC using it. I wanted it in red but they were sold out so I got the black. The set was on sale, got 3 pieces for some ridiculous price like $40, wasn't expecting much but it's very good quality.

I got the set last year when it was on sale for $59. Used it 2 weeks ago for a trip to WDW. Mine is dark red with black trim, with a small Mickey head logo on one side. Very nice looking, not cartoonish at all. The zipper on the larger suitcase is occasionally contrary, I think it's catching on the liner a little, but if I don't get in a hurry and start yanking, it works fine. It's really a handsome set. I, too, wish they made a large wheeled pullman. The 21" is fine for a short trip, but to pack shoes, jackets, etc., for a long trip I need a bigger suitcase.

I bought a roll carry on at the giftshop at CBR last September. It's black wit Cindy's castle embroidered on it in white and blue on the front, with WDW 2007 underneath it.

I got a set of tapestry Winnie the Pooh luggage at WDW and it fell apart when the airlines tossed it around. :( It is now just for car trips. I don't know if all Disney luggage is this poor or not.

The cheapo stuff I got at Wal-mart or Target has held up very well.

Thanks for all the information. I printed the information from the link at disneyshopping and gave it to my mother who proceeded to make fun of me. Asked if there is a 12 step program for Disney addicts. I just finally looked at her and said "You know you ask me for Christmas gift ideas and then you just make fun of me. And I don't think it's a problem being into Disney." Getting a bit tired of my family making fun of me.

We have the black and red set from Disney.com. I like the black set better, it's bigger. We also got it over the last 2 years when they had free shipping.

Stitchlover - DH loves Disney but he won't take the Disney luggage anywhere but Disney. He took it once on a business trip and the guys gave him such a hard time. And I don't think it screams Disney. Sometimes people just don't understand our passion!
