Disney Leaving Galveston?

Eh. They're going to Castaway Cay. Which is what I was after.

I doubt they can do too many 'exciting itineraries' all things considered.. it's not florida or San diego with open area that's easy/feasible to get too.
Also, :rotfl:DCL is pricy in general. There's other options if you don't want to pay DCL prices.

I'm just happy I don't have to drive 20+ hours to get to see the mouse. :confused3 It's cheaper than going to Land or World. I believe I priced out just tickets/stay for DW and it was around $3900-4000, which is about what i'm paying for the cruise. But then I'd have to add another $1000 for just the flights, food... etc.
I'm with you! It's cheaper to sail out of Galveston, and frankly, my kids are more interested in the ship than any ports and would rather not get off. So I could pay for a pricier cruise out of FL with better ports but have to coerce them into excursions! Or I could just say the ship IS the vacation, period, save money we'd spend on excursions, and leave the more exciting ports for an adults-only trip or until the kids are older. This is one case where I'd have no qualms about paying the DCL premium over other lines, if we essentially almost never got off the ship. I still have to fly, just not nearly as far or as expensively, though.

One thing I wish they would do is swap the Wonder and Magic so we could at least sail a different ship out of Galveston.
