Can DCL sell US residents the same? You got my attention with the 3 day hopper passes as savings...

The discounts are NOT limited to Canadians as far as I know. Just call DCL and try to customize your package with them, then compare if booked separately thru DW or TA

Any reservation should show on MDE, even those booking through travel agents. A reservation is a reservation for DW, regardless of how you booked it, right?

I will agree to always compare prices. Usually you do wind up better off booking separate, but there are times (like this one) where booking together can be beneficial.

As far as I know as long as you get a DW reservation number or DCL cruise reservation number you should be able to enter those into MDE. Just note that after we added the land portion with DCL, MDE did not accept the DCL reservation number for 2 to 3 weeks. But while I waited for this I still went ahead and made the character dining reservations via phone and MDE. Once MDE accepted the cruise reservation number I could see both the AoA reservation and 3 day park hopper tickets along side the character dining reservations I had made earlier.
