disney just for kids

I get people that say to us ... "you're going again this year? why not go somewhere else for a change and do something different?"
ummmm........why? haha

Oh I am so sick of that comment. Further sick of having to remind people who have known me and DH for years that we are well traveled...have been all over the world...and that we actually, as adults, ENJOY visting Disney.

Ironically, the people who make that comment most often are people who go to the same places themselves year after year, like Vegas, the Outer Banks, or the Bahamas. Many of them also play the same 3 golf courses every summer, all summer. When I point this out to them, it tends to shut them up.

With all the kids across this country :jumping1: finally back in jail (whoops I meant school).... Disney becomes "adult friendly" again :worship: starting September 10th.

Back-to-School, my favorite time of year :beach:
Have fun kids, study hard... Time for the Adults to party party:

I started as a Disney theme park kid when I was 5, and don't see any reason to stop 35 years later pirate:

Exactly why DH and I do anything to do with Disney in September. Looking forward to foo foo drinks with umbrellas and fruit in them. :rotfl2:

Just for kids?

How many 7 year olds do you know who book and pay for thier own solo Disney trip??? :rotfl2:

Disney is for all ages. If Disney was just for kids it would be almost impossible to find enough adults willing to sacrifice thier total vacation just for the kids.

I hear those comments too but I just ignore them. You either get it or you don't get it! Personally I'm glad I feel the "Magic." pixiedust:

I was 15 on my 1st trip to Disney! I've been going back for the pasdt 12 years!! I usually go with parents who are now in there 50s and I sometimes think they enjoy Disney more than me! I'll always be a kid at heart whenever I'm at Disney! :Pinkbounc

They are right, Disney is just for Kids! And for your entire vacation you get be be a kid again.

If being a kid again is not a vacation, I don't know what is!

Our first WDW trip was in 1990, with DS11 and DD8. (Well, we did go for one day in the early 70's but it wasn't a World then) We took the kids again 3 or 4 years later. Then we started going without the kids. DH and I will be taking our 5th trip by ourselves in Sept. We also went with the kids when the youngest graduated from college. By far, we have the best time by our selves. We love our kids dearly but trying to keep 4 people happy, especially when it comes to restaurants, is much more difficult. We are now 57 and love WDW more than ever. (I have to admit that I am one of those who think that people who take children under the age of 5 are crazy!) Can't wait til Sept. 26!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I have told my friends and family that if that comment ever comes out of my mouth-I have been abducted by aliens and the "person" saying it is a replicant and must be destroyed.

When you are too old for Disney, you are too old to dream!

So true :thumbsup2
