Disney is just not the same anymore!!!

I have an AP and so I can check availability 30 days out. I look quite a bit, and really, even same day fast passes are available for most every ride outside of sdmt and tsmm. Same day is usually short on parades, fireworks and a few meet n greets including of course A&E- but that leaves a ton of rides that are available. And that's same day.

People get a little frustrated and some when they post say things that are a bit of an exaggeration as to what is actually available. Understandable, but it does put a scare into others who haven't gotten to their window to book yet.

The party is a great time to get the top rides in. Enjoy!

On a previous post you said this year's MNSSHP was not worth it because the park was crowded and you couldn't get on the rides. What makes you think that people will be able to get on the top rides at MVMCP?

Apparently you were in the minority because enough people complained about them that Disney decided to institute fp.

FP+ was implemented to manage crowds, not to help guests. It was not some act of benevolence on Disney's part.

Disney may have changed but there is always one constant on the DIS. If anyone tries to discuss changes good or bad, the dislike of Fastpass+ will always be brought forward.

I was hoping that the constant regurgitation of why it is so evil would have died out but obviously not.

Personally, I'd prefer it if they did away with any kind of Fastpass altogether, and made everything first-come, first-serve. Simpler for everybody. If you don't want to wait a long time for a headliner, you go do other things until the wait goes down.

Of course, that would mean building more attractions in the non-MK parks to accommodate the overflow, and Disney doesn't really seem interested in doing that anymore.

This would be absolutely horrible!! I've been going since 1972 when they didn't have FP. Of course it wasn't as crowded then, but I went when Splash Mountain opened and we stood in line for over an hour in the hot sun. We said never again and I was a lot younger then. Also, with the crowds today, I don't think the lines would go down that much. And if you have small children, they might not be able to wait till the lines go down if its getting late into the evening or wait that long in line. I wouldn't want to wait more than 20 to 30 minutes with a few small children. That can't be fun.
