we got them done at our local nail salon - they painted our nails and then took black nail polish and used this circle stick thing to make the dots. i'm so not talented enough to do that on my own!!!!! i loved the way they came out though!

Well, mine are pretty plain, but I was bored today. I will probably change them 10 times before we leave for Disney...lol. But here's the picture. (I hope it's not too big! )

I absolutely LOVE this idea. So cute. All of you have some great ideas. I went for a pedicure before I went to Disney in May and I asked two different Asian nail salons to try to do Mickey Mouse heads on my two big toes and they both failed at their attemps. I had these Disney stickers of different character heads that I bought at Michaels that were small enough to fit nicely on my toes. I went with the Donald heads, of course! I put a little clear coat on top of it & it was durable enough for showers & swimming. Sorry that I don't have pictures, but I will take some next time I get creative. It really turned out cute!!

the place i go has tonnnss of airbrush designs and a few of them are mickey! I personally like my nails VERY BUSY- we leave in 13 days to go and will be getting my nails and toes done soon in a disney theme! i will post pics when done... i get my done as i do a HORRIBLE job myself!

WOW! I am totally loving this idea. I just showed DD7 and she said, "mom can we get that done too before we go?" Of course we are going to do it now! I'll check with our nail salon and see if they can figure something out! Had to sub to this thread so I remember to do it in December! Thanks for all the ideas. Hope to see some Disney Holiday ones soon for some ideas!!!

My DH is SO rolling his eyes at my excitement to do mickey nails for our trip.

I'm doing the minnie idea for my 5 year old (red nails, white dots; for her thumbs, red nails and black minnie head with red bow w/ white dots).

I'll do mickey ears on my pedi for myself, but DD10 presents a problem... the child wants *donald duck* inspired nails. And she wants me to try and do it with nail polish, not stickers.

Any ideas??

Too make it simple you can paint the nail tip orange for a bill and the top white with some eyes or put a cap and some eyes....just throwing an idea out there.....that one's kinda tricky...anyone else got more of a creative idea? I'll do some searching too! I'm hooked!

For Donald, you could just do the colors of him on the nails, kind of layered. Or, find some stickers that you can put on her nails and just clear coat over them...

The girl who does my toes is actually a white girl. I get toe art everytime I go. she uses the craft paint has almost every single color and uses paintbrushes. like for instance if I get a nail polish color she then will do the design with the craft paint on top of polish. or if I get something like leopard, or zebra she does it all with the craft paint.

I totally plan on doing probably black polish with red mickey ears maybe add a bow for minnie. I will post pic before my trip.

DD 14 did her toes with sally hansen art pens. Shes going to do her finger and mine soon. We leave the 13th!!

Hi all...I just posted this on another thread that is of the same topic. I am a nail tech for the last 19 years. If you are going to do your own nail art it should be applied so that it is displayed to those that are looking at your nails, not displayed to face you. It will look more professional this way. Also, get a corrector pen to remove the polish that is on the skin around the nails. You can use a Qtip and a little bit of remover but the corrector pens work much better. One more tip, make sure to apply your polish well. Use a good base coat and top coat.
