Disney inspired nails for vacation

Last year I had my toes done. I had a palm tree on each big toe. Each tree had 3 little coconuts in it. Hidden Mickeys!!!

Adorable!

Lots of good ideas...but we need pics...doesn't anyone take pics of their nail art? :flower3:

Hi,

Here was the post that inspired me! (#4 has the photo)

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2052539&highlight=mickey+pedicure

I didn't take a picture of my own, but it ended up looking almost identical. I did the big toe on each foot only...I don't usually do nail designs, so I wanted something subtle.

Good luck! I found applying the rhinestones with tweezers made it easier to get the placement right. With nail glue or super glue, they should stay on no matter how many miles you log on those mean Disney streets!

I can't believe I found this thread... I was just going to do my nails tomorrow... my DD and I want to get something Disneyish done on our nails... what luck to had found this....
Thanks guys!!!:thumbsup2

Last year I got creative for our WDW trip/DCL. Ok, I paid to have them done...

The toes were clear with a brown french tip, with a thin white line under the brown.

Gold colored fish with green seaweed were on the clear and silver bubbles.

They were sooo cute!!!

Go find a nail place with the Asian gals, they are so talented!

I'm so excited! I went right out and bought red nail polish and I did find some rhinestones to try the mickey head. I may or may not post the results depending on the outcome...lol. The pens sound like a good plan as well.

If you try something or have something done post it so we can all see...

May I have 6 weeks to go...I'm going to have a hard time deciding. Do you think it would be dumb to have different nails represent different characters? Minnie, Micky, Tigger, Eyeore...There's so many possibilities.

Okay, now I AM getting carried away. :D

I love this idea..different design for each nail!!

I too am looking for pics! I go this Saturday for my fill and pedi. We leave EARLY Sunday morning!!! I liked the pic of the red polish with Mickey on her big toe, just not a big enough picture of the details :guilty: Hoping someone will post a BIGGER picture!!

Thanks in advance!;)

This is the design I did for my DD, she really loves them... of course I will the nail polish on our trip to refresh and touch up!

Chevy Nat -- your DD nails look great!! Now I'm afraid to let my DD see this thread-- guess I'll have to start working it!

Has anyone done anything funky with their Disney ears?? Love to see pictures of that too!!

I am having the Peppermint Pedi while at Disney the last day before we haed to the Magic. I was wondering if they would do that for me? I normally have my nails orange and blue (gator colors) but might have to go to red.

I use water slide decal paper in my printer and I just print the image that I want and slide it onto my nail. I've got a mickey head one right now. With all the disney clip art out there the possibilities are endless!

OK, here is my attempt...I was practicing up for our trip next month and this is when DH officially decided I was over the edge

(This was done with a Sharpie...)

OMG! TOO FUNNY! My dd'a nails look just like this, same pink and black mickey heads. I did them last night. After the nail polish dried, I also used a black sharpie to make the heads and then clear coated them. :goodvibes Is the glitter in your polish, if so,very funny, my dd10's pink polish had glitter.

There's some real talented people here... I still did not do my nails... I will tonight or tomorrow... but please keep on posting pics.... :thumbsup2

More info please :) and PICS! This is a great idea. Where can we find water slide decal paper? I'm hoping it's something they might have at Office Max, or, dare I say it...Walmart?
