Disney Infinity pre order

I pre-ordered last week at Target because they were running a promo if you pre-ordered any game you could get $15 off a $40 or more game, and I had a cartwheel coupon to use for the FIFA world cup game for my ds. I noticed on the back of my pre-order card that it says get a free figure when picking up the game. And it says game release September 23rd.

I havent seen any yet. But when the first one came out Gamestop had a nice deal. 15% off and free shipping. So Im hoping they will have something similar.

Now that it's closer to release date, has anyone found any better deals on the Disney Infinity 2.0 releases? We're going to buy it, but wondering who has the best deal going.

I haven't seen much beyond the free figure. We ordered from Best Buy.

Best Buy had buy the 2.0 and get a free extra figure. This was months ago.

There was a sort of glitch, and it allowed you to select the Spiderman game SET as the free item.

I will see if this stays in effect when they ship it, lol.

Pardon my lack of knowledge on this but if my son already has the first Infinity game does he need to purchase a Starter Pack for this game as well or can we just get the game and the figures he wants? Is it like Skylanders in that it requires a different portal for each new version?

Best thing I have seen this week is Walmart is offering a $10 Walmart card with the purchase of the new set. Anything better? I may just wait until black friday and hope it goes on sale.

I bought Disney Infinity 2.0 at Disneyland on Tues. It was $75, same as everywhere else, but I used my AP discount, plus paid with Disney GCs that I got for about 18% off [Amex 6%, Target 5%, fuel perks 7%]

So I paid about $55 for the $75 set - a great deal if you're headed to DL soon.

This worked out better for me than preordering somewhere else and getting a figure free.

You do need to have an AP and discounted gcs to get a similar discount - or do even better than I did if you have free Swagbucks/Perk gcs.

I was surprised that DL prices for game and characters are the same price as at regular stores, and that they allow the AP discount.
