My kids surprised me last night by saying that they were interested in Disney Infiniti. I'd be buying it for the wii (we don't have wii u). They are high school girls and don't play a whole lot of videogames, but when they do, they like Just Dance, de Blob and Bella Sara.

Do you think my kids would like Disney Infiniti? I see that there are very variable reviews for the wii version on Amazon.

Thank you.

The Wii version doesn't have the same multiplayer options that the other versions do. That's a common complaint for the wii. Only the "run around aimlessly" game is multiplayer, while the adventures are single player only. Would they enjoy that?

Thank you. That is helpful.

Is this a game for high school kids or is it a kiddie game?

I'm 30 and I enjoy it, but I do not like really complicated games. I haven't played tons yet but I have played the majority of Jack Sparrow's adventure so far. There are a lot of extras you can purchase for the Disney Infinity game and that might be a $ factor for you, but I think it's kinda brillant. It's a good clean game that is enjoyable if not a little silly. I'd recommend it for your girls expecially if they are already expressing interest.

I think it's playable for a wide variety of ages. :thumbsup2

If you are buying it for the Wii then there is not an option for 2 players. Would they enjoy playing it by themselves?

The nice thing to remember is that the figures can go towards any console, so if you bought a Playstation or Xbox later, then you wouldn't have to re-buy all the pieces.

I'll will say that the "collector" in me comes out and I can already see where this'll be a money pit. My kids enjoy the game and I'll admit I even enjoy it.

Target and Best Buy were having sales. I've also picked up quite a few at Sam's club as their figure are only 10.98 versus the 12.99 you pay everywhere else.

Amazon.com has a huge set for $200 that come with most of the figures and the starter set. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1688200382&pf_rd_i=507846

Also if you can find these sets, it's like getting 1 free. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/infinity-3p-villains-street-date-8-18-13/prod10140086.ip?navAction=

There is also a sidekicks set as well.

Consider upgrading to Wii U and getting that version. I know, it stinks. But at least you play your previous Wii games on Wii U, and use the same controllers. And you can buy (other) new games over time.

I think if there are 2 kids in a family, buying the Wii version might be a mistake. Taking turns playing would not be the same at all.

PS I play with my 21 year old daughter. I do not like hard video games, I am terrible at them, and don't have time to work on getting better (or the interest).

Is the Wii U disney infinity game two player does anyone know? Or is it the same as the Wii. I purchased it for the Wii over the summer for my two kids as a christmas gift, not being aware it was only 1 player. In November, I decided to get my son the wii U for christmas since he had been begging me for it. The salesperson that sold me that console told me that the Wii game was playable on the Wii U, so I didn't bother exchanging them out. Between their father and I, we spend quite a bit of money on characters, etc...only to have two disappointed kids now that they can't play 2 player :-/ Does anyone know if the wiiU game is in fact 2 player on toy box and storybook mode?? :confused3 Thanks so much!

I have played this with my 7 year old grandson, and quite frankly, it is kind of boring. I would not buy this for teen aged girls, especially if you have a wii. It is a game designed to appeal to ages 10 and under (in my opinion). Plus, as another poster mentioned, it's a money pit, with all the extras you need to buy to keep it interesting. There are many other more interesting games.

My daughters are 7 and 14 and both love the game. My oldest is also very into the Sims games and Grand Theft Auto right now but loves to play Disney Infinity just as much. My husband is also having fun playing it.

Yes, the Wii U you can play 2 players. You would have to buy the Wii U version of the game though. When playing Wii games on the Wii U they are still the Wii versions, they don't get upgraded.
My kids got it for their 8th birthday in November and have pretty much played it daily since. The game appeals to all ages but I think teenagers may get bored with it sooner than the younger crowd.

Yes, it is. BUT, there is only one Wii U gamepad (obviously) so one person has to play with an old "wii-mote" which even as an adult I don't think is as fun (but I suck it up and do it, lol). I could imagine that being a problem with 2 kids - I don't know if you could take away the game pad option and have them both play with the old controllers.

Like what? We haven't bought a new wii game in ages. This is the only thing they've been interested in.

The problem with the Wii is that it is designed more for younger gamers. You might take a look at Super Mario games, such as Super Mario Galaxy 2 or the Lego games. I especially liked the Lego Harry Potter games. Also Mini Ninjas. These links have some good suggestions:

You can find older games on eBay, your local gaming store (GameStop) or from Amazon marketplace sellers.
