Disney in September & School

I plan on taking my sons out of K and 1st grades, the third week in Sept '08. I really hope the teachers don't have an issue with it. That's the only vacation we will take all year and the only time I'll ever pull them in Sept for a vacation, since I'll be going back to teaching full time the year after that. I do feel a bit of guilt every now and then, but then I quickly get over it!!!
Also, we went to Disney World last September, 10th-14th, and the crowds weren't that bad at all--compared to summer or April. So don't worry!

We took our girls out of school in November 2005 and we're doing it again this September. It will be there 2nd week of the school year. My girls hardly ever miss school (maybe 1 or 2 days a year) so I don't see a problem with it. And kids are only young once, so HAVE FUN!!!!

I am taking my dd 7 out of 2nd grade from Sept 12-18. I really dont care what the teacher has to say. I will tell her on the first day of school about it. DD 7 is smart and is always in the top of her class. When that changes then I will rethink it about pulling her out. We went last year at the beging of May when she was still in K and her teacher was like have a great time and dont worry.

This will be our seconad year that we are going in September, during school. We actually have lucked out and just like last year I just checked the school schedule and our kids are doing the State testing all that week. I know the schools really like all the students to be there, but I don't feel as bad about them missing actual school work We did not plan this, it just ended up like that. We really enjoy in September since the crowds are not bad and the weather is pretty nice.
