Has anyone actually been to Disney in Asia? I don't think i'd ever go, (I live in England) but i'm not that bothered to be honest, they just don't seem as good as the others :confused3 I would hate to travel all that way too! It's bad enough with the 9 hours to Florida! Even though it's so worth it when you get there! :teeth:

I've been to Hong Kong, and it's a wonderful little park, but it is little right now (though they have plans for expansion.) It's only about 1/3rd the size of the MK in Florida. So is it worth it to go all that way just to go there? No, not really. But as part of a tour of Hong Kong and Asia, I would definitely go, it is very well done and is a beautiful park with the mountains surrounding it.

I haven't been to Tokyo but from what I've heard that's a park that is worth taking a trip to see, especially Disney Sea.

Everything I've seen about Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea makes me really, really want to go.

I especially want to check out their Pooh ride....I've heard it's just incredible

Has anyone got any pictures from Disneyland in Tokyo or Hong Kong then? From what i've seen so far they just don't look impressive :confused3 not like Paris and Florida (haven't been to California)

Just found this thread because I was searching for anything on Tokyo Disney.

I just made plans to go since my family was really worried about me going to Paris right now. I wasn't bothered by what was happening there. I know the media is sensationalizing it.

Anyway, I changed my plans and am now going to Tokyo Disney. In my research, I found a great site with pictures and a lot of information. It looks really beautiful.

We hope to get to Tokyo next year. I've also heard nothing but good things about Disney Sea.

I doubt I will ever go to Hong Kong.

I'm planning to do to both parks in Asia in 2007....my problem is: Idon't know of any good TAs that have experience booking these trips....Anyone know of a good TA I can use?

Disney Sea is supposed to be so incredible that many westerners were upset when it opened - especially after California Adventure. The difference? I believe Disney Sea was partly funded by a Japanese company. $$$

I've been to Tokyo Disneyland. It was really fun and very different from the parks in the States. I don't know that it's worth it to travel to Asia specifically for this, but as part of a vacation to that area it would be wonderful!

Oh my! You MUST go to Mouseplanet as see the pictures of Tokyo DisneySea. It is supposed to be the most expensive park yet. I was amazed by a lot of the pictures I saw.

I posted some pictures from Hong Kong Disney in this thread

DH got to visit there last month. :sunny:

Here's their castle:

DisneySea is my family's favourite Disney Park!

If you have young children, they would love Mermaid Lagoon, which is Little Mermaid themed. Most of the rides are indoors, in an undersea cavern - fantastic for colder or wet weather. :Pinkbounc

The theming around this Park is just incredible. I don't have any good pics unfortunately, but it is so meticulously done. A definite must-see.

My DDs both love the Hunny Pot Ride & Buzz Lightyear rides in Tokyo Disneyland. And funnily enough, they enjoy Tom Sawyer's Island very much as well.
