Disney in 1 day?

I know this question has been asked lots of times, but since the search function is disabled, I have to ask again...

If you were planning a 1-day trip in late August to Disney what would you do?
Is it worth it to go if you only had a day?

Depends. If I had young kids, MK for sure. Pick up a copy of "The Unofficial Guide to Disney World", the have a great one day park itinerary that will get you on most of the rides with minimum wait. It will be a long and tireing day, but it would be a fun one!

Older kids, then MGM. Adults only, either MK or Epcot (but only because MK is MY favorite!)

Well, they're all old enough...why don't put it up for a vote, or aske them what parks they'd like to do?

If you don't want to do that, then I'd recomend MGM for those ages, with MK being a close second.

I agree in letting the family decide as a whole. We are saving one day on our 5 day hopper for a weekend in May. We plan to do Epcot and maybe slip over to MGM and MK for a taste of our favorites. If I had to choose one day only it would probably be Epcot for our family. We love the pavillions. For most with kids Magic Kingdom or MGM would be a better choice. Show them the list of rides and shows and see which one would give you more bang for your buck. Depending on the time of year MK may be a better choice if they are open late.

I would not be afraid of splitting the family up. Your kids are old enough to go out on their own. Then meet up for dinner and take in the night show of your choice, as you all talk about your day. This way each of the kids gets to do what they want, and the day ends with the togetherness of a vacation.
