Disney Idiosyncrasies

I memorize the lyrics to "A Pirate's Life For Me" so I can sing-along on Pirates of the Caribbean. This year, I also tried it with "Grim, Grinning Ghosts"...

To me, a visit to WDW, is part vacation, part rock concert...
:thumbsup2

As I read I realize mine is pretty popular. I always start in MK even if just for a few minutes and then we end at MK. :lovestruc

We start and end our trip at MK. WISHES the first and last time every trip always makes me cry.

For some unknown reason DH thinks it's a great idea to snap a picture of me coming out of a bathroom every trip :confused3 I don't get it.

Tons of other things but these are the ones that stand out.

We always do MK on the first day. It doesn't matter if it's a crowd rating of 8 and others are at 4... We go because our DD5 doesn't associate being at DW until we get to see the castle. When at MK, we always do Cosmic Rays and get the turkey bacon wrap. It's tradition we started about 4 years ago when my oldest was a little baby and we've held to it ever since.

Every trip we have to see Beauty and the Beast at DHS for my DW and now my DD. The only trips I haven't seen Beauty and the Beast were my first two when I went with mom and dad and didn't even know my wife. So I guess that's a thing the two of us have done every trip...

We have to get our pictures taken at the Christmas Scene (by the leaping water) at DTD. It is fun to see how much the kids grow everytime we go there, and it never a perfect picture which makes it even better!

The first meal we eat there is always the Orange Chicken at the Lotus Blossom in China at Epcot! We have been doing this for years.

And now for the past couple years is getting the boys' picture taken outside of Expedition Everest by the Yeti feet, seeing how much they grow!

First WDW visit in 4 months so...I don't have a WDW's "routine".

But, I have some DLP idiosyncrasies !

1) Always enter by the most "centered" ticket booth and I only enter the MK by the middle arch. (and I always begin my trip by the MK. Always.)

2) Then, I wander through Main Street and listen to the "hidden sound".

3) The first land must always be Frontierland and the first fast-pass is Big Thunder Railroad and the first attraction is always the Phantom Manor.

4) I buy a magnet with the year et every trip for my mother (she loves magnets ;)).

5) I always buy a Christmas ornament and a pin.

6) When I leave, I say goodbye to the park and "thank you" to the partner statue.

I think I'll keep some of my routine during my first visit, like the ornament, the pin, the magnet (I'm forced, in fact :rotfl:) but....I think I'll buy a charm and pick a pearl at every stay too !
