I'm going through my normal set of emotions about my DD22 leaving already. It's a good thing I'm working so I don't have to be home - the house is always so sad and empty feeling when she leaves.

I’m getting my Christmas nails changed to something fun for NYE today - I always enjoy manicure day. I never got a manicure until we got our puppy last year. I always did my own nails, but our active puppy didn’t allow time for my nail polish to dry. He would now, but I like treating myself to a manicure every 3 weeks, so I’m continuing it. Now that Katie is retired from softball, I’m using the money I allocated for her hitting lessons towards my nails. I’m spending less money on my nails than I did those lessons, so I’m still money ahead

I give the nails two .
I love having tasteful fun nails and my beautician loves it, because she enjoys suggesting different things we can do (she’s young - 28 years old). Getting my nails done is always an enjoyable time

I'm really disliking our current weather here in the Chicago area - very cold and very windy. It's days like today that validate why I want to leave this area when we retire and move to Florida.

I’m going for my first heart scan this morning - I’m very interested to find out the results. I’m not allowed to eat for four hours before the test - I have no idea why So, I guess it’s time to eat something to tide me over until lunch.

It went really well and I got an awesome score of 16.79. It’s makes me feel that all the working out I do and watching what I eat is paying off (except during the holidays - I’m starting to feel a little with all the sweets I’ve been eating. January 2nd all the cookies, sweets, candy and everything else goes into the trash. The new year is always when I sugar detox from the holidays)

I’m going to see Avatar tomorrow - I’m pretty excited. I haven’t decided yet if I’m seeing it in 3D or not.

…gutted. Avatar bid failed. It was New Year’s Eve or bust. Sold out. And thus, now New Year’s Eve is cancelled. I’m not going to do this on New Year’s Day… would rather use that energy to return home to Disneyland…

Watched much of the Mummers Parade…enjoyed what I saw. Then watched some of the Rose Bowl Parade, that was good!
