disney hotel online check-in with virgin

has anyone been able to do this if so how thanks:)

Yes we have done this before. Virginatlantic.com top far right corner "you are in" click drop down box United States site. Choose manage your flights and online check in from the list in the far left panel and submit your booking reference flight details.

But how can you print your boarding cards
Janet :thumbsup2

sorry probably dident word it very well I ment booking into the hotel .We stay at the yacht club and would like to do online check-in to request a room :) but they ask for the telephone number you used in your booking and my number doesent work

If you are unable to print your boarding pass (our hotel has a business centre) then you can collect your boarding card when you drop your suitcases off at either Downtown Disney check in ( no bag drop unless it has changed since last year, so ordinary queue) or at the airport baggage drop. It is in my opinion a good idea to use online check in even if you are going to queue to use the Downtown Disney check in. This is because it has been known for the flight details/plane to change and therefore the seat which you may previously have saved having been removed. You can therefore re-asign your seats at online check in.

I realised after I had posted that you meant hotel. I am unsure about checking in online at the Yacht Club. I do use online check in for the Beach Club next door but through the Disney Vacation Club site of which I am a member.
If I find out any information on how to do this then I will post it on here if someone else has not allready answered your question.

So much lovely information so just to clarify.
We are dvc members and also stay at the BCV and would love to check in on line before we leave home so as to get a room in a specific area. How do we do this .

Also we have free wifi as dvc member and are taking our laptop for the first time but am unsure how to check in to virgin. Last year we had the position of not having requested seat and the 3 of us were nearly seperated.

Thanks for the info
Janet

Happy to help.
Not sure how long you have been a member Janet and therefore if you are aware of the DVC members website and know how to navigate around it. Online hotel check in can only be done within 10 days of arrival. On members page click vacation points on right hand side of screen after logging in. When you are within 10 days of arrival you will see the icon to click in to register. Unfortunately the online check in does not allow you to put very much information at all. You cannot specify an area but if I recall correctly you can specify if you require the room to be near access which I presumed meant lifts.
If you have a Virgin Atlantic flight then you can pre-assign your seats for the outward journey to Orlando and the return flight at Virginatlantic.com before leaving for your holiday. On the left hand of the screen click manage your flights and then click my booking. You will need to put your booking reference, first and last name in the space on the top right hand side of the screen. If you do not have a booking reference i.e if you did not book your flight direct with Virgin Atlantic but through Virgin Holidays you may need to ring them for a booking reference number.

Thanks
is this new on the member website to register we have been members since 2005 and this year only it gives us vacation details .I will register my wants 10 days before thank you .
As far as virgin we have always chosen our seats before with never a problem especially now with on line check in but that is ok from uk when flying out but when we reurn we do not have that facility because of lack of printer to print boarding cards ,so when we turned up they had moved us .

Yes it is new.
If you use the DVC hotel online check in, when you arrive at the Beach Club look for the Online Check-In Service logo at the front desk. You will need photo ID and then you will receive your Key to the World card to complete check-in.
You can still use the Virgin Atlantic online check in for your return flight whilst in the US and this will hopefully lessen the chance of your having no seats reserved as happened to you (and me) before.

If you have no access to a printer it does not matter. Just check your seats you previously assigned are still there and if not then select your seats again. Then your choice is to either go to Downtown Disney check in and join the queue to get your boarding cards or go to the airport and use the bag drop where you will be given your cards.
Is the Beach Club your home resort? We love it there also.

Thank you
SSR is our home resort and would stay at any but yes BCV is our favourite we love the quietness of the pool area and of course the closeness of epcot and studios .
one of my favourite things is early in the morning walking around the lake with my coffee before my DH or DD arise .:cloud9:
This year we are going to BLT very excited :dance3:about the convenience of every thing but I know next year we will be after BCV .
Janet

We have two home resorts BC & SSR. The model rooms of BLT looked lovely and modern and it is great to try a different location. We have stayed at SSR & AKL but my favourite is BC. As you say the location is great and we enjoy walking round the boardwalk / lake at night. Have a wonderful holiday.

Wishing you a great holiday also .:)
What else could you have at WDW.:thumbsup2

Try this link:

www.mydisneyreservation.com/guest

which doesn't ask for your telephone number.

When you do online check-in from the States you don't even get the option to print your boarding pass so you will have no problems at all.

Just a thought - have you got your Disney reservation number? The site won't recognise your Virgin booking reference so you can't use that.

If you don't manage to do online check-in I wouldn't worry too much about it because you can't request specific rooms/areas of the resort anyway.
