Disney Hotel Confirmation Code -- no one can tell me

Hi everybody !

I am from Austria and i booked a Disney Hotel for June 2014 (Caribbean Beach Hotel)
I booked via TUI

Now i received a Reference Number from TUI 235-XXXXXXX (a 10 digit number)

i wanted to link this reservation to mydisneyexperience on disney.com but they need a official 12 Digit Confirmation Number

No one can tell me this official confirmation number at TUI

Any ideas how to get this ?

I'm assuming you mean TUI - as in one of the prominent European/British travel companies? Is that correct?

If so, you need to get the number from them. They should have a Disney confirmation number that they would have gotten when they booked your room. When you use a travel agent they "own" your reservation which means Disney has to work directly with them on everything.

I don't believe that you can get the number through Disney by calling yourself. If I'm incorrect I'm sure someone here will let you know soon.

Just as thought - did you try the the 10 digit number that comes after the TUI 235?

i contacted TUI several times now and no one can tell me the correct disney 12 digit number. i also asked my travel agent and they also dont have any numbers.

so when my travel agent booked the hotel via TUI, disney is talking directly to my agent instead of tui ?

and yes i tried the 235- number already at disney.com ...and im just getting errors because its only a 10 digit number

I'm not positive how things work with international travel agencies but in the US the travel agency who makes the reservation owns the reservation. The person/organization who owns the reservation would be the one who gets the confirmation number from Disney.

Does your agent work for TUI or is your agent an independent business and booking through TUI? I'm trying to see if you are dealing with one level of booking or two levels of booking.

If TUI is the organization that made the reservation with Disney then TUI would be the one who would control the reservation and who should have Disney's confirmation number.

This also happened a lot booking through Virgin. The only way most end up
getting the number is calling everyday until they could give it. As you paid a
TA to do it for you, I would be inclined to make them work to get it for you.

This was a very big hassle for us one year, from this side and once we got there.
I now will only book with Disney Direct.

I do hope it gets sorted for you soon and enjoy your trip.

i heard such stories...i searched the web alot over the last month and i always found problems with virgin.

i think these 235-XXXXXXX numbers are something like a european disney booking code...

however i will definitely book directly next time.

I had a MDE account already set up before I made my booking in the UK with Virgin, so when everything got booked virgin gave me a 10 digit vide to make my dinning re salvation sand it seemed to link up with everything. The only issue we gad was that I had changed resorts, and they had changed or "forgot" to tell disney not sure who is telling the truth but messed up the complete system and took a month to retieve the booking magic bands and then link all ADR and events that had been booked.

ok now i have it after 10000 phone calls

when you book from europe you get a 7 Digit reference number , and this one is used to link on MDE

haha DANKE ...i will continue writing in english

we are going to stay at the caribbean beach again.

part of my family lives in florida near tampa. my first visit to WDW was when i was 6 years old. so this is my 27th year ...the 30 year anniversary will be great maybe avatar is completed then (and no im not a disney freak , for me its like coming home everytime)

but this is the first time it got complicated because of the number "game"
