disney hotel and tickets changes

I'm not sure on the date I will be at disney yet, but it looks like it's safe to book the hotel now and change if it needed as long as the change is within a month. Just wondering when are the bands sent?

The tickets seem a bit trickier now that the price is tied to the date. Will I be able to buy the tickets now and pay the difference if I change the dates? And If I somehow get lucky and the tickets go down in price, will I get any money back?

I plan to book both hotel and tickets through undercover tourist. Not sure If I should make two separate orders, one for tickets and one for hotel, so that if I need changes for hotel, it can be easier to cancel and rebook.

Just so you are aware (unless something has changed very recently), it's not always possible to change the dates for your trip. A while back they changed the policy so you could not simply add or subtract days. Instead, they will see if the resort is available for your modified trip dates and cancel your current reservation to book the new one. If even one of the dates during that time are fully booked, they will not allow you to make the change.

We wound up having to book three separate reservations at the same hotel during a recent trip because we wanted to add days.

Magic bands are usually sent about two weeks prior to arrival, but that does vary a bit sometimes.

I would hold off on buying the tickets until your dates are more sure. Usually there is an announcement here if the prices are about to increase so you can purchase them then or just wait until closer to your trip.

If you mean change dates as in - week of Nov. 4th or the week of Nov. 11th -- then yes you can change dates pending availability for the new dates. The further out you can make that decision and stick with it, the better. If you are thinking will we arrive on Nov. 4th or Nov. 6th - that get's trickier to change by adding or subtracting days from a reservation.

Tickets - you can change the date(s), paying any difference in pricing (be that due to date change or if a pricing increase occurs since purchase). However, there will be no refund if your new dates cost less. This is assuming stand-alone tickets. Tickets purchased as part of a package (room+tickets) would change along with the room reservation.
