Brilliant :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Great collections Sue and Matt :thumbsup2 and of course your cute pet bowls Karen :)

One more from the office: A map of the Magic Kingdom and Bay Lake--as it NEVER was. This was a room decoration in the Contemporary when it first opened and was the concept the Imagineers intended to develop. Many things were never done. For instance, locate where the Grand Floridian should be and you'll see a drawing of something very Asian. Directly across the lake from it there's another resort where there is none to this day. On the lakeshore just next to Autopia (or whatever they call it these days) there's a Taj Mahal looking resort. I hope you can see the detail well enough to see those and to spot other things that never materialized. Scott actually rescued this piece when he was walking back to the Contemporary many, many years ago and came upon some maintenance men breaking these and putting the pieces in a dumpster (the rooms were being remodeled). When he asked if he could buy one, Housekeeping gave him this one and all he had to do was arrange for it to be packed and shipped. It is a favorite among my favorites--as much for Scott's action as for the piece itself.

Of all your marvellous pieces, this is possibly the one I covet most; not only for its rarity value, but for the wonderful back-story. Mind you, the Haunted Mansion tapestries in your hall come a close second. Pics please! :goodvibes

Here are some of my Disney treasures, all connected to precious Disney memories.

The greeters at my front door.
IMG_7126.jpg

My Song of the South things, including the Golden Book I've had since I was 6 years old (with my name written in my first grader's handwriting).
IMG_7136.jpg

My Snow White Golden Book also from the same era.
IMG_7134.jpg

My computer room. A lot of the things on the shelf over the window were given to me by people who just couldn't bring themselves to throw away an old Mickey toy. They knew I'd find some room somewhere.
IMG_7147.jpg

My late husband Scott painted a beautiful copy of John Hench's famous portrait of Mickey that hung in Walt's office.
IMG_7148.jpg

I totaly ADORE that painting.

And ALL the other pictures of disney stuff, thankyou guys for sharing your collections, you have inspired me and I am going to do some kind of disney picture for my comp room.

A couple of things I missed out in my earlier pics.

Deb's fave Mickey and Minnie...

IMG_9941.jpg

Donald's boat, Miss Daisy (oh and anyone for Afternoon Tea?)...

That's more like it Susan, albeit once again I'm let down. Pictures of Disney friends? All I can see are Stringers:confused3

I just hadn't gotten there yet, Matt. Here we are--you as Fred Flintstone, Debbie as Sin-derellla, Tammy as Cruella, Kevin as Cruella's henchman, India and Georgia as fairies--punk and sweet, respectively, and me as a gypsy fortune teller, just as we were leaving BWV to celebrate Halloween (2006) in EPCOT. That's Creeper from The Black Cauldron in the background and next to our photo.

You're forgiven in that case Susan. I went to see The Black Cauldron at the cinema when I was a young lad, one of Disney's better ones I think personally.

Whatever you ask, it shall be yours. Here they are. BTW, I'm not charging extra for including all that fine Oklahoma dust that I didn't knock off anything before shooting these photos.

Here's the Haunted Hall.

I didn't realize how tight some of the spots are until I started taking these photos. To get this one I had to stand inside the coat closet! You might think that's my flash reflected in the glass, but it is actually a ghostly apparition.
IMG_7169.jpg

Here's a clearer shot of the Haunted Mansion poster. Once upon a time it was displayed in the walkway under the railroad station at the entrance to Disneyland. I like to think of the thousands of happy people who walked by it in days long gone.

What wonderful, wonderful pictures, I love Deb and Matts study, I should like to live there. Susan, I am loving your Black Cauldron items, its Ians favourite Disney film, its so difficult to get any items associated with the film. We do have a picture of Gurgi in our bathroom though, I will have to take a picture of him.

If these aren't the cutest things! I've been letting my cats and dog (named Pluto, for goodness sake) eat out of plain old bowls. I've been wrong for that and need to get them proper bowls like yours ASAP. Thanks for the idea.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I have always done that too but knew I was going to buy loads....it worked well especially with my Precious Moments ornaments as they come in big boxes. :thumbsup2

I have just the one snowglobe as I'm scared of ornaments due to my pathological fear of dusting... ;) :rolleyes1 :rotfl: I also like this one as it's not obvious that it is a snow globe... Tink lights up and it plays "You can fly, you can fly"... I love it!!!
