Or even 'Universal' holiday...

So following on from a few themes in threads I've seen recently, just thought I'd see what people see their trips as?

I've seen those who stay onsite and never (or rarely) venture off property. I've seen those who like to see all that Orlando has to offer on their trip.
I've seen those who don't even go onto Disney property at all.

For me I see it as an 'Orlando' holiday and couldn't imagine going there without visiting all there is there, be it Disney, Universal, Sea World, Busch Gardens, the malls, the shops, the offsite restaurants etc

So which are you? :)

Voted Orlando, Disney is awesome but so is everywhere else :)

I voted for "other" as we do everything, Disney, Universal, Bush Gardens, Sea World, and Orlando! We are hardened Florida goers! :lmao:

:) That's actually what I meant as an 'Orlando' holiday.

For other I was aiming at those who just come and do Universal or don't do any parks at all :)

I voted Orlando as we do more things, visit different places rather than just doing theme parks.
A few years a go it would of been theme parks as we had 3 little kids then!

Orlando holiday for me, though to be honest, this years trip and the one I went on last year were slanted more towards Disney.

Always have to factor in some shopping days and there's no way that I would go all that way and not visit Universal!

Oh that's the same for me too.
Orlando, but obviously, with 4 theme parks, 2 water parks and so much more, then the majority of our time is spent at Disney.

But like you, even tho I DO prefer the 'atmosphere' at Disney, I wouldn't miss out on the other parks having gone all that way :)

Orlando holiday!

Like Disney but coaster junkies more than anything and and that's where Universal/SeaWorld/Busch bring their A game!

I need more votes! ;)

To cover all my variations of holidays taken, I need to vote for Disney ... and Orlando ... and Florida (but I've never had an exclusively Universal trip) :sunny:

Voted Disney. :cool1: That will possibly change in time to come, but DD has just turned 8 and she will try pretty much anything in Disney at this stage, but not really worth putting out for the other parks just yet.

So far I am the only Disney Junkie on this thread. Come on people, where are you?! :rotfl2: I can't possibly be the only one.;)

Orlando all the way. I am not travelling 4000 miles and spending a fortnight in Disney World ever. If you never leave, think how much you would be missing. I bet never leaving is an ideal the Disney management would love for all visitors.

Universal, Aquatica, Busch Gardens, shopping, Kennedy not to mention lovely beaches, what people must be missing out on..

One of our best ever days in Florida was a day spent on the beach at Clearwater.

I'm voting Disney although we do always visit Universal Studios as well, I wouldn't be going if WDW wasn't there.

Voted Orlando. Although we visit Disney for the longest amount of our time due to it having the most parks, I LOVE Universal, and we always head to Seaworld and Busch as well :)

I voted 'Disney' holiday - even though we do Universal and other places too, I always call it a Disney holiday and that' show I think of it.

Even when we go in August and are not planning on visiting Disney much at all, I am still telling people we're going to Disney World.

It's never been just about Disney for us, in the past it would definitely have been 'other' as we loved to travel all over Florida.
However, I had to vote 'Orlando' as we rarely leave the place these days other than a trip to the beach.

To be honest as a city I don't actually like Orlando that much, there are much nicer places in Florida, but we prefer to stay in one place for the benefit of the little one. :)

Over the years we would have visited Florida even if Disneyworld did not exist, whether we would now I don't know to be honest.

I went for Orlando, even though I spend most of my time on Disney property when I'm over there. However, I also like to visit Universal and the malls etc. I'd definitely like to see more of Orlando/Florida in the future. I need to learn to drive so I can hire a car!!

One of our best ever days in Florida was a day spent on the beach at Clearwater.

If you ask me from all our trips top 5 days that have stood out Disney would not be in them.
1, Seeing a shuttle launch (one of best experiences of my life)
2, Guided Adventure Tour, Busch Gardens (fave park)
3, Discovery Cove
4, Day out to Savannah/Tybee Island Georgia.
5, SeaWorld VIP Tour
